You literally just compared Cannizaro and Mainieri and said I was giving Paul shite for doing what Cannizaro did. I
I did no such thing.

So, let me get this straight. Canni making it to a SR his first season is accomplishing something that's so easy to do. But Mainieri needs to go when he's pretty consistently made it to a SR?
I beg to differ.

You think I wrote that?

So we have the same expectations as MSU baseball??
Are you really sitting here pretending like MSU is some scrub program? They are historically a good team. They have had recent success. They have passed LSU with their facilities. They have equal to, or maybe better, fan support.
So yes, MSU is on equal footing as LSU.
The days of Skip are over, and some of you can't get past that. You want that type of success, and it's just not possible. Skip dominated everybody, and MSU was probably his main competition in the SEC then.

So you want to fire a hall of fame coach to hire what proven product? There aren’t any Skips waiting at home for a phone call. Didn’t we just play Florida in the finals a few years ago even with some key injuries?

Andy Cannizaro, duh. You know, the guy who is coaching high school baseball.

The only HC in the US that MIGHT be better overall than CPM is at Vandy. And he won't ever be leaving Vandy until he retires given Vandy's scholarship support which no other baseball school has.
Tadlock is not leaving his alma mater. We won't get Sully from UF either.
Anyone we would get after CPM would be an educated guess. LSU Baseball is not so bad that we should be willing to just throw caution to the wind. Not yet.

Short term plan=Get rid of CPM.
Long Term plan=Win the CWS soon.

Bottomline for Woodward is how long do you pay 1.4million a year to be in the middle of the SEC..

I’m not quite sure if you are stuck in the early 2000’s but Mainieri’s past accomplishments doesn’t equal current success. In case you haven’t noticed, there are a bunch of teams that have caught up and even some that have exceeded LSU recently. We are too good for that. The only team that has more natties than us is USC and they haven’t been relevant since the 70’s. We have too good of a fan base and tradition to hope and pray we make it out of supers. I really appreciate what Paul has done for this program and I respect him as a man but like with Les, it’s time to move on.

As long as PM’s contract lasts, until we start raking in the big checks again, or both.

What has he proven as a head coach? He took an already loaded MSU team to a super regional?
quote:
If it’s so easy then why has USC never made it back to a WS since Kingston has taken over for Tanner?? They were hella loaded when he took over.
MSU has made the world series every season since Cannizaro was fired. If a pitching coach Henderson and Lemonis a guy from Indiana who nobody had heard of can do it. It must be pretty easy

Why do you sit here and repeat the same shite over and over? You've probably said it 5,000 times in two years. We know. Now shut the frick up already.

That was 3 seasons ago.
But not sure you want to touch on arm injuries & coach mainieri
Or dive into the decline in talent among position players since then
PM is not the 2nd best coach in the country. He’s just not. He might be in the top 20. Might. And that’s not really LSU standards
