Since 2009 championship..Paul Mainieri is 4-7 in Omaha, has lost 3 of the last 4 super regionals and when the 2020 season was cut short had 8 teams ranked higher..Woodward's thinking??

Probably depends on how 2021 goes ....obviously

That said, good luck finding alot of coaches with good records in omaha who are attainable, that list is quite short

This is a dumb argument to use. We played a grand total of 0 SEC games.

He's probably hoping they get to play baseball next season. What do you think he should be thinking? Certainly you don't think he should be considering firing Mainieri because of your last argument right?

Mainieri doesn't have half of the drive of Coach O.

Any coach who doesn't recruit off campus can hit the road as far as I'm concerned.

CPM has sucked the life out of the box...attendance is good on friday night and saturday night if it's a big game... but the games on sunday and during the week are well over half empty...He is not a fan favorite at all

Pm will leave on own terms
LSU not paying baseball coach a buyout
They are loaded for next year
Anything less than Omaha will be a disappointment

Hopefully someone like Godwin will still be available
I also like Holliday at Oklahoma st and tadlock at Texas tech

A lot of teams are upgrading facilities and LSU has actually fell behind

Corona saved Paul’s job because that 2020 season was about to derail off the tracks. That team couldn’t hit their way out of a wet paper bag.

My opinion.... There is a 0.000000% chance Mainieri is fired before next season. So what's your opinion on what Woodward should be thinking?

Because LSU's baseball recruiting has been horrible?

Woody is imminently prepared and has his shortlist. He usually gets his man; I’d be worried if Ole Miss as list starts with bringing Bianco home.

It definitely prevented him from being exposed more. Dude simply hadn’t recruited position players well the last few years. Next year will be questionable, too.

How in the world can anyone wanting Mainieri fired want Bianco to be at the top of the list of coaches to hire? That's straight foolish.

Every team in the CWS save one will lose two games. It’s even possible for all 8 teams to lose at least two games. You can even get to the finals and lose three games. Having a record of over 500 at the CWS is extremely hard if you are a frequent visitor.

Having said that, most that follow LSU baseball see a dip in the everyday talent and our lineup hasn’t stepped up to help our improved pitching.
