Let me guess....they will make a stick figure with a large hand...and it will "sort of" move while they play Billie Jean. BTW, most of the stadium will not be able to hear it because the band currently has no power (compared to the LSU bands of the past). The cartoonish approach to their shows coupled with poorly played music has become VERY boring.

PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB. GET MORE BRASS SO THE BAND SOUNDS LIKE/AS GOOD AS THE OTHER BANDS IN THE SEC. MOST OF THE BANDS IN THE SEC ARE MUCH LOUDER THAN LSU.....WHY??

I think it’s a bad look doing a show featuring a pedophile who died of a drug overdose.

Do we really want to dig up the history and cause of death of every artist whose music the band plays? It probably wouldn't leave us with much.

Gary Glitter is one of the scummiest humans who ever walked the earth, yet his "Rock and Roll" song was and still is played in sports arenas everywhere.

Stephen Tyler had a thing for underage girls....are we going to ban Aerosmith songs?

So no, I am not going to go out of my way to be outraged by a Michael Jackson halftime show.

It really is weird

Goes to show how powerful the media is. They didn’t want to remember him that way so no one remembers him that way

The amount of MJ tribute shows was pretty insane. I’ve never seen anything like it.

It really won't matter what they play. Half the fans will be on their way to bars/parties at halftime, and most others will be at concession stands or the bathrooms.

They really need to reverse things anyway. Have the band play before the game, during the game, and during timeouts. Play the annoying piped in stuff during halftime when most people aren't in their seats.

I doubt anyone but the parents of band members go to the football games in anticipation of the halftime show, regardless.

I'm fine with that.

I'm not a big Cancel Culture person but if anyone deserved to be canceled it was that sick bastard.

Former TGBFTL member here from way back and I’m appalled to figure out from this thread that two of the consistently worst posters (nicholastiger and semjase) on this board are or were in TGBFTL.

You really don't want to open up that can of worms again, do you.

Answer: Damon Talley. (Combined with LSUAD wretched excess malaise in regards to the once great GBFTL).............

Because the Powers that Be refuse to do a national search for a qualified band director, and instead promote from within.
Last year, the director quit a week before the season, fine. Understandable they couldn't do a nationwide search. So they promoted this Wojoweeble guy. His only marching band director experience was a horrible sounding 40 piece high school band.
So fast forward to this year, no nationwide search was done, and the band continues to fall farther and farther down the ladder of elite SEC bands.
