It seems that anytime we go west on a road trip, the LSU athletic dept gets the WORST seats in the stadium.
I'm in setion 3 and figure I'm 50+ yards from the back of the end zone. WoW, just as bad as the seats for the arizona state game...

You think the athletic department gets to decide where the tickets are located?

You'd think we'd get something other than upper, upper and next zip code over seats. I know visiors get nice seats in TS. We should start shoving them in the west upper...

No, but in conference games there should be some give & take & LSU always gets screwed. No conference team gives us 4,500 seats like we give opponents in the South endzone.

Maybe no other school has 4500 seats to spare like LSU either.

All schools have a visitors section. Those are the tickets visiting schools get. It's no different in Tiger Stadium. The visiting school has no say.

The SEC regulates how many we have to give for conference games. The location in Tiger Stadium is another matter. We should put all of them in the upper decks.

But you can't put the location of away tickets on the AD.

absolutely true, my WA tickets are the suck...

however, I think we do the same to visiting teams in tiger stadium....they get a section in the south endzone for band and VIPs, but if you notice, most of the visiting fans are scattered thinly along the very top of the east upper deck...hardly prime real estate.....

All stadiums have a visiting section and they are never primo seats......ur a visitor! When you agree to play someone your stuck with what they assign. LSU is not the only stadium that allots 4500 tix sections. Even Oregon State (stadium is about 45k) has to provide thousands of visiting tickets. Any big time school is basically ran the same way. You think Udub wants to give their fans those seats. They do suck...I have been there and seen it first hand. Even if you bought some Dawgs tickets....that track is there as well and there is some room between the track and the seats. The stadium is in need of a renovation which is coming. The good thing you can look forward to is the backdrop of Lake Washington while watching LSU pound this helpless team:)

Seats for visitors in Tiger Stadium are among the best in the SEC. No other stadium in the conference gives visitors such a large number of seats together in the lower bowl. I say give them 2,000 or so in the corner of the south endzone and stick the rest of them in the top rows of the upper deck.

Hell I would give them 500........they say the problem is that since existing season ticket holders have tickets in the Upper Decks they can't switch.......why not send out a mailer asking people if they would like to move down there? I know several people up there who would jump at the chance to be in the lower bowl.

You have no idea what you are talking about. LSU does EXACTLY like every other SEC teams when it comes to distributing visitors tickets. LSU has several lower bowl sections along lower corner endzone/sideline for visitors and then spreads the rest out in the very top portions of the East upper deck. UF, Georgia, Bama, Auburn, etc etc. all do the exact same thing.

Go look at the thread on the ticket exchange board that shows visitors seats for LSU's away trips this year. All have several lower endzone sections and the rest are upper deck seats.

Actually, he knows exactly what he's talking about. Have you ever even been to a game at Georgia, Alabama, Florida, etc? None of those stadiums comes close to giving visiting fans the number of seats (approximately 4,500) in the lower deck that LSU does. I realize that LSU is required to allot visiting fans a certain number of seats, but there is no rule stating where those seats must be, at least not to my knowledge. Hell, Georgia puts all but about 500 or so visitors in the upper deck...and ask anybody who's ever been to Gainesville about the infamous "sunshine seats" at the Swamp.

I've been to away games at UGA, Florida, Bama and Auburn. For the most part all of us LSU fans were sitting in the same section with some scattered throughout the stadium. LSU basically does the same as the other SEC schools when it comes to assigning seats to the visitors. For the ones who are disputing this, have you ever been to an away game?
