Did you or did you not equate "race" and "culture?"

That's rhetorical btw

So the [his] argument is that black children lack the mental capacity to learn math in the same manner as Hispanics, Caucasians, Asians, etc?

Why aren’t blacks offended by this bullshite.

Minimal. Certainly not to the level of educational aptitude.

This culture we have in this country of immediate ostracizing anyone and everyone on the opposing political sports team is absurd.

I agree

y’all are doing the exact same thing here.

That's actually the exact opposite of what's being done here. People are taking umbrage at a specific idea that he apparently supports, not blindly attacking him because of his "political sports team" without any knowledge of what he actually believes.

As a black man, I fail to see how learning about how social structures and institutions through the prism of race could be offensive. CRT was something that originated from Critical legal studies, which has already existed for decades. CLS focused on societal power strictures and how they’ve negatively impacted marginalized groups.

We don’t care that you’re black.

And if you need a crutch like CRT, then good luck.

This is at least twice tonight. You’re means you are.

Let’s talk about how Caribbean and African black immigrants tend to do very well in their own countries and in US schools. By your standards they share the same race and culture. Is math only racist to native born US blacks? Could it be problems within their own culture that cause them to be less successful?

So explain how he is wrong.

A tribe of Africans makes war with a neighboring tribe. They invade and kill men women and children until their opponent surrenders and they then take them as slaves. The slaves are their property. They sell their property to westerners and profit.

See how property rights are not racist? This is how property changed hands for thousands of years among every race throughout history. Now explain how I am wrong.

I don’t care. I don’t expect you to care what race I am. It’s irrelevant in the most diverse and free country in the world.

Hiding behind CRT proves you’re lazy, unintelligent, and love to be a victim. You prove that daily though with your moronic posts on the poli board.

You're goddamn right it is. I went to an 95% black elementary school in 3rd-5th grade. There was a black girl named Rochelle who was the only one that could keep up with me academically. We went back and forth as the best students in the school. Those mfers made fun of her for carrying her books around all the time, they made fun of her for "talking white" because she spoke the king's English correctly, and they made her cry every single day. I was lucky to be white because it meant I didn't have to put up with all that bullshite. I never forgot her and the hell she went through for trying to do well in school. I hope she grew up and got out of the crab bucket instead of caving to it.

I dont Think they do.

Math isn’t racist. Tate never said it was. His research was about whether how it’s taught works for black students.

You support, vote for, and defend with vigor white people who call you too stupid to accomplish what other races accomplish and think you need special treatment to succeed.

Anything you say goes in 1 ear and out the other at this point as you obviously fit the bill if you can't see it.

Have some fricking pride, jeez.

So now you’ve moved on from “directly challenging” people to prove Tate subscribed to a completely toxic and divisive ideology, to no longer hiding the fact that you do as well and are fully in support of judging people based solely on the color of their skin.

If you could read you’d see I was Directly challenging Bjorn to quote one line of something Tate has written that he didn’t like.

And if you actually read the thread it was a different poster pages later who finally did it.

I think Made a counter arguement that much of Tate’s research isn’t that bad.

People are really upset with the idea that the teaching methods that aren’t working might not work for everyone. bjorn thinks he has no cultural similarities to other Americans (despite him being in a conservative echo chamber of people who share his cultural values and experiences)
