going on the road to play in a 49,000 seat indoor environment.

Why not? You gotta admit playing in Yankee Staium would be pretty cool. And playing in big time out of state venues has the added benefit of LSU fans staying the entire game cheering their Tigers on from the stands and not someplace on Perkins Road trying in vain to "beat the traffic".
Why not? Because season tickets continue to get more and more expensive, while the number of exciting home games become less and less. Right now you get 4 SEC home games (of which only 2-3 are nice matchups) + 3 garbage OOC games. The season ticket holder has to pay extra to travel to see the one good OOC game at some canned neutral site the doesn't even come close to the on-campus gameday atmosphere that makes CFB great.
You think people leaving early is a problem now? Wait until LSU prices out everybody but the fairly wealthy. The stadium will be a silent ghost town by the start of the 4th

Syracuse is better than an FCS team or a weak instate opponent like ULL or Tulane that would be a given blow out

Everybody's going to be scheduling somewhat weird teams now and the neutral site games that people want to see are going to happen rarely [Ex. OU & FSU].
Personally, I'd rather see a Syracuse,NCSU or Maryland come into Tiger Stadium. Than a Towson or N.Texas

I didn't read the article but does it say we could play in YS?

only problem with that scenario is LSU wouldn't travel to towson or n texas. LSU is giving up more than they are getting in return.
Syracuse fans are the only winners in his deal.

I'd love to see LSU in the carrier dome, but I'd like this better if it were basketball or lacrosse

Yankee stadium
I'd be all for this...the opponent wouldn't matter. I'd rather play a big game in Metlife Stadium, but I'd definitely make a trip to NYC to watch LSU play football.

Nothing in the article mentions Yankee Stadium.

Yankee stadium or met Life. I will be there!

Personally, I have no qualms about playing all OOC powderpuffs and just focusing on the SEC slate if the ultimate goal is to make the final 4....why risk it? We can worry about the big 10 and ACC when we get to the playoff.
I don't pay for season tickets though.....those that do have a legit gripe

Hasn't been determined yet.. My money is that the "return" game is in Met Life or Yankee Stadium or something.

FIrst we need to know if the CFB committee will focus on OOC scheduling.

the schedule is known well before they put money down for the tickets. they have every choice in the world not to renew if they are so displeased with the system of scheduling.

Regardless if we do or not, finish 1 or 2 in the SEC and I like our chances.

Having a stance of "don't buy if you don't like" for season ticket holders for 10, 20, 30, 40 years is pretty crappy.
Yes, every consumer has a choice, that doesn't need to be said, but it can't be argued that games away from Tiger Stadium (neutral site) don't negatively season ticket holders the most.
If you're getting a home game and it's a home and home, no biggie. But, when you take a home game and move it to Houston, Atlanta or Dallas, different story.
