So apparently official definition #1 of alumnus does say "graduate OR former student"
So I guess the question is does not attending classes and whining at refs for 3 months in the PMAC qualify you as a former student.....
Wait.... Nevermind, definition #2 Straight up says "a former associate, EMPLOYEE, member..."

Btw. He's a freaking beast on NBA 2K18.

He absolutely never bad mouthed LSU.
He said college was pointless for him, which it was. He could've gone to UK or Duke and said the same thing and those fans would still be happy to have had him.
Very happy he went to LSU, just really sad he had to play for Johnny. He's an absolute beast and had one of the best freshman seasons in NCAA history at LSU.

It is amazing how many people don't know the definition of alumnus. But it makes sense that the same ignorant people would be bashing Simmons.

Ben Simmons was an alum? I thought alums at least participated at Lsu or maybe even graduated. Ben simmons going to lsu campus was like a fart, he just whiffed for a semester, his other classes didnt count cause he did not finish.

What’s crazy is we’ve had a lot of guys leave early but they don’t receive the hate Simmons does. Stanley Roberts played one season at LSU and is universally loved by our fans. CJ was here for 2 seasons during an era when even great players were staying in college for 4 years and he’s loved. More recently you had the M&M boys and Blakeney that were here for 2 seasons and weren’t even in the same universe as Simmons talent wise, they’re all loved. But for whatever reason Simmons is hated by a lot of fans. You can say his team underachieved but how many titles did Pistol Pete win? How many NCAA tourneys did his teams get to? If any coach other than Johnny Jones were here for Simmons we’dve been in the tourney and almost all this hate would’ve never happened. So as usual stupid Rant fan uses misplaced blame to hate on a kid who had one of the greatest freshman seasons ever at LSU and continues to help LSUs profile and future recruiting.
