Yeah it’s not hard to understand what Simmons wasn’t trying to say. He’s never even remotely bad mouthed LSU. But insecure people are insecure about their own life accomplishments and because Simmons’ team didn’t live up to its billing at LSU, he’s an easy target to attack for people to feel better. Sad but also not unpredictable.

NCAA didn't force Simmons to go to college, or play college ball. He had other options and chose to play at LSU.

He has no cause to bad mouth either LSU or the NCAA.
He got about as much out of his stay at LSU as he put in which wasn't much.
From all accounts he seldom went to class, he practiced when he felt like it and he left as soon as he could.
