With only one three point attempt in the first half, it seems like Wade's emphasis this week was to get the ball into the paint instead of settling for long shots, but they may have overcorrected on that.

Only because we have gotten lucky in nearly every game this year and caught teams on a cold night. We should have multiple losses where we should have gotten blown out the gym. This is awful basketball on numerous levels. Plays are not being ran and just the overall basketball iq being displayed on the court is on a jv high school level.

Our defense has not been that bad.

State is out hustling us and playing fearlessly. Everything is contested.

The Zebras will start calling more fouls on them. After all, they sure as hell have called a hell of a lot on us.

I predict we go on a huge run and win by double digits.

They are also wrapping our dudes up when they get picked it's crazy the off ball hands they are aloud then very physical in the lane and dont get called for the majority of their fouls or mugging. They are getting the benefit of the doubt

Man... you and I have known each other a long time... but I disagree with all of the 100%

We have no basketball IQ. We aren’t a team. We are a bunch of guys that are kind of good at basketball

I stand corrected. Didn't feel as bad as it did against Arky.

Probably all the fouls that wiped misses off the board.

That's incorrect. We'd be shooting 3s if we could. State is playing man defense on the perimeter and daring lsu to go inside.

Mays needs to get his confidence back.

I might be one of the few that isnt too worried right now.

They scored an absurd amount off of turnovers in the first half. If we chill out with the dumb shite, we SHOULD be fine.

Also: Im so god damn tired of all the pessimistic shite on the rant. As an LSU fan I hate seeing my brotheren embaress themselves with overreactions for all else to see.

Our shots will start falling after this half cant be this cold for this long. It will turn on for a few minutes and that normally is enough. We have a physically talented team top to bottom. Just need a spark

MSU shooting didn't seem particularly amazing that half.

It wasn’t. We can’t shoot the ball. Say it again can’t shoot the ball. FT’s Putbacks will only get you so far now that we’re playing decent teams. We beat up on the dregs of the league. Must make 3’s to win. No pure shooters on this team beside TW. None

If this was a one game issue, I would agree with you. It’s becoming a disturbing pattern coming up on the toughest part of our schedule...doesn’t inspire confidence

It has nothing to do with our shooting. They are literally tripping over themselves every time they dribble and handing the other team the ball.

How? That's not true. They may have more experience but we both play 8 players. We have very similar stats in many ways.

They look like shite for long stretches, but they outlast teams so well. If the fouls don't become a problem, they should take this with a late surge.

If we don't turn the ball over we can get back into this one.

Half court D has been whatever they got 16 points off TOs

Agreed. Confidence can be first aided through the coach and im sure WW is aware of Mays playing differently and is giving him confidence.

It’s tough for Mays cause he lacks athleticism and plays through his skill so if his mind isnt there, he looks stale. (Which he does right now, unfortunately).

I feel like State could destroy a press if we tried it.
