Does Jay realize we’re tied and not leading by 10 against Nicholls? Why are we putting in Primeaux and pinch hitting reaves?

Jay is rotating guys early in the season like he’s doing everything he can to have guys ready to win the SEC this time around.
I’m torn…I understand getting guys reps, but man I want to win these early season tournaments.

Reaves was JUCO all american and hit the ball well in the pre-season. This pitcher has an elite breaking ball and was about to go up against right handed Stanfield. It just didn't work out.

I also don’t love pinch hitting for Stanfield when last at bat he got to 3rd and was probably brimming with confidence.

I dont mind Reaves swinging the bat. I do mind losing Stanfields defense to do so. I think Jay leans a little too hard in righty vs lefty matchups

Yeah he did have 2 bad outings but he was good in his other appearances and had a good off-season. We're thin on LHP options this year so Jay has to hope he gets right

If there’s no clear cut superior bat, Jay is going to play L/R matchups in high impact AB’s. Can’t fault him there.

It was a two fold decision of not wanting Braswell to bat there either
