if we can get a clean first two from paz that would be huge

Yeah, for sure. But after that, it’s likely gonna depend on the score. If we take an early lead again, he probably goes to Cowan and rides him as long as he can. But he’s too around the plate to not give up a bomb or 2. Just have to expect it and he has to make sure he didn’t walk a guy or 2 in front of them.

Jay probably has 3 plans. Cowan after Paz if we have a lead or are tied. If we’re down by 2 or 3, I’m not sure who he goes to. Not Cowan. I don’t think we see him if we are down by much, if any. Hold him to see if we can get a lead in the middle innings, and hope to ride him most of the rest of the way. If not, he starts tomorrow. But if Paz doesn’t have it early, he gets a quick hook and chaos ensues and we may half arse punt and use some guys lower on the totem pole and hope they step up and give us a Riley Cooper or Nate Ack type outing to keep it from getting out of hand and see if our offense can keep up and keep us in it. But we can’t swept, so we may have to punt and save Cowan for Sunday and hope he can go 5 or 6 and limit damage and hope the bats can keep up. Sherrin threw 50 pitches last night, so he burned tonight, but may be able to give 3-6 outs Sunday. Our best chance of salvaging 1 is probably a great Cowan start tomorrow, have somebody to bridge us to Sherrin and hope he can close it out. But the offense is the key tomorrow to take advantage of UGA’s weaker Sunday arms.

My worst nightmare came true last night.getting a big early lead, Schmidt giving up too many free passes, throwing 95 pitches but only getting through 4, where a 7-3 lead turned into 7-5 lead, our bats went cold and we only scored one more run. It just out Jay in such an awkward position. We’re not gonna punt unless we’re down big early and Jay sees the writing on the wall and goes with guys who we hope will step up, and we can 3-6 outs from. I don’t know who Jay trusts to take the pill in that situation. Probably nobody. Hope and pray.

The worst thing that can happen is we get that early lead from the offense and Paz and ride Cowan after that and see how long he can go. But if he gives us more than we think he canz, but we still give up the lead and lose, we definitely don’t want to have burned Cowan.

We should handle their Sunday pitching. We just gotta hope we get there with the bats on fire. and hope we can eke out a win Sunday.

Jays not gonna punt or throw off and be willing to sacrifice tonight until he feels a comeback is not likely. We just got a find a way to keep up with their bats, and if not, throw off tonight and go all in tomorrow.

If you could guarantee we win tomorrow, I’d take it in a second. We’ll see. Paz not off to a great start so far.

If Paz can throw strikes he’ll be the ace of this staff going forward. His stuff is awesome.

Every batter for Georgia acts like a douche bag at the plate. I can’t understand why….they can’t even find Omaha on a map.

Need to finish him with a K on this 2-2. He did!! Nice. Throw a double play here, and all our options are open.
