What’s up with Cook not coming in at all?

Played like shite, and we made our 21-1 run without him on the court.

I said this before and I'll say it again, Cook is a player that tends to play hero ball at times. It's nice when it's working but it can be incredibly detrimental when the shots aren't falling. Not just on the score but mentally on the players (I heard Baker yell at him to pass the ball at the Vandy game).

Cook is a tremendous player but I don't think him playing hero ball is an end all be all solution to competing in the SEC. We need him to be the lead scorer but also a playmaker that makes those around him better. Tunnel vision is his main problem as a player.

AT least the team didn't completely crumple in the 2nd half and brought it to within 10 in the second half.

I'm pleasantly surprised by at the least this teams fight as opposed to last years team. NIT is definitely a reasonable achievement with this team.

Cook wasn’t the reason we were getting destroyed. Wasn’t having a good night, but everybody was sucking until we got hot last 9 minutes or so. Just wondering if something didn’t happen at half time.

They are definitely better than last year. We start conference play 2-1 at least. Just have to clean up the turnovers but they can win a bit of conference games if they clean some things up

Seemed like Pearl was looking to beat spread.

Well, that 15-minute stretch, the last 5 of the 1st half, and the first 10 of the 2nd half, was awful. But they didn't give up and made a gutsy comeback but couldn't sustain it. I don't want to say this team is much better than last season but it feels that way right now. Only time will tell. Still not ready to get my hopes dashed yet.

And Auburn not dribbling the time off the clock at the end was classic butthead Pearl.

LSU pressed and tried to trap at half court. There were two passes and a dunk. It wasn’t like LSU called the dogs off there. Either way, what a dumb thing to worry about.

Bruv they did stop playing one dude ran up on the ball handler and then they stopped because the coach called it off. There was no one even defending Broome and LSU had hands on hips waiting to run it out

Last years team would have folded and lost by 50.

Can't lie I saw some of that body language out there and had PTSD. But they gritted it out, that's tough.

The real key is will they be able to bounce back after a loss, conference play doesn't let up.

Worry about?

Just making a statement about a butthead coach. Feel free to defend him all you want, he is a turd.

Pearl is awesome and you'd take him right now if you could. Just take the loss and root for your team next week.

If I wanted a cheater, I'd prefer Wade.

I'd feel a little different if he were LSU's coach. One man's turd is another man's diamond

Expected the loss but still had hopes of an upset. Y'all do have a good team there.

You will be crying into your Toomer’s Corner lemonade when Scott Woodward offers him an outrageous contract to come to LSU.

Just thinking...would have been a good road trip if we had Stromile Swift, Torris Bright and Lamont Roland Today game, and women Tomorrow at Auburn.
