Say what you will about our offense but our defense effort blows.

Hope they hit the portal hard. As bad is this team is now, hard to imagine them with no KJ next season.

McMahon could have the Shaq and CJ team and he’d have trouble making the tourney. People just don’t understand how bad this guy is.

Why? KJ has been a huge let down in the SEC.

He is soft, low-energy and all he wants to do is stand around the 3 point line.

His only post move is a fade away hook shot that rarely goes in and he’s a terrible rebounder for his size.

You do realize almost every player in this Missouri team is a mid-major transfer, right? I guess someone didn’t tell Dennis Gates (MU coach) he was supposed to be horrible in year one

Kids that start at mid-majors for multiple years can be better than 7th and 8th men from bad P5 programs that we are leaning on for starters minutes. Idgaf where they are from they have dudes that make shots and have all year since they are one of the best offensive teams in the league.

And again, MM deserves blame for bad evals and it’s his roster, but this is a bad group of players on a poorly constructed roster

Problem is that he has by far been our best offensive player this year. That's a problem looking ahead to next year if not wanting a repeat of this pathwtic year.

To be honest, I'm surprised McMahon inspired anyone to follow him to LSU based on his in-game demeanor.

This matchup should have been right in his wheelhouse considering Missouri’s roster is basically a group of mid-major players from last season. Yet, LSU fell behind by double-digits by the 12:00 mark in the first half and NEVER got the margin under single digits the rest of the way.

Of course, we shouldn’t blame McMahon. Missouri was just WAY too talented with their mid-major transfer roster

The Basketball ignorants will stick with the debunked narratives but just a couple of examples of poorly coached teams, even elementary level, that have been constant throughout the season. Our point guard never gets back on D, something I’ve never seen before. Most of the time he doesn’t get much past half court on D vs transition. It’s another basic rule of basketball that you don’t throw it backwards if you get it below the line in transition yet all of our guys do this all the time. I could go on and on but the signs are everywhere. Even if you believe the false narrative that “muh there’s no talent” it doesn’t excuse your team from being so dumb and poorly coached.

Yes, McMahon is looking worse and worse. We had great defensive efforts against Arkansas(the 1st time) and Kentucky and tonight if we had played good defense we would have won the game. Well that and not trying to match them at three point shots. Miller and Juice Hill were both 3 for 11 from three point line. That is a pathetic 24%. Congrats to Fountain and KJ who had double doubles, they came to play. Miller also had 4 turnovers which was high and Juice and Hanibal had 3 each. Our guard play really sucks!
I would love to see Miller benched the rest of the year and Ward the freshman get his minutes and see if he can't make some threes.

It is looking more and more that Wade will be coaching elsewhere at some point. The team he coaches will make an NCAA tournament before a McMahon coached team at LSU.

Thanks, Woodward!!

This game was lost in the 1st 10 minutes when possession after possession we dribbled around the top of the key and settled for mostly bad 3 pointers without the ball coming close to the paint and on defense we played soft and allowed Missouri to shoot 3s.

In the 2nd half we forced the ball inside and it created free throws, layups and wide open 3s and played even. 2nd half we also played tough perimeter defense. Had we hit some wide open shots in the last 5 minutes we probably would have won.

I cannot understand how we come into games with such horrific game plans. It’s like no scouting is done and we figure out what we need to do after the 1st 10 minutes of play every game. Usually by that point we are down 15+ though.
