Kling is the issue there. He is not seeing the ball well. I get he is a freshman and is experiencing SEC pitching for the first time. Neal’s hit was productive, Kling sucked, followed right by Morgan who is on the struggle bus this series.

Seriously.
He's been streaky this year. Did have a two run gapper Fri night, but otherwise he has had a bunch of swings and misses and some outright bad at bats.
Aggie crew was advocating for taking him out of the leadoff spot (that is how I parsed it, mentioning JJ has to consider the change with all of the bat talent he has) - though another poster here disagreed with me on how that came across and felt they were saying JJ needs to let them ride it out, I didn't hear it that way.
I think rn JJ has the luxury of letting him find his way, very good defender and his upside is way up there.
