Probably should have been 4 walks in a row, but Pearson decided to swing.

Is the ABS for college the same size as the MLB one?

Only 1 play went to review tonight and went LSU's way. OU has had 7 or 8 go their way.

Wish we would have challenged Braun at 2B

The ABS thing is only as good as the box size strike zone for the hitter.... Hell that ball was armpit high

ABS might need a little tweaking. Maybe the 23-58% is a bit much on the low and high side

The SEC is doing this on purpose so people won’t like ABS and they can sit back and say, “see, our umps don’t fricking suck arse.”

I think it’s bullshite that if a ball even barely touches the black it’s a strike if originally called a ball.

it's not even the black. pitchers are being given an inch outside the black and 3 inches above and below the strike zone in the SECT. It's ridiculous. If you're going to implement ABS, implement the real strike zone

It would be better if you get 3 ABS challenges period. Doesn’t matter if you are right 3 out of 3 times. Use them strategically

Yep. The box is way too big especially if you count the seams touching it as being in the zone.

The box is literally bigger than the strike zone by the letter of the law.

If they were going to do this, they should have done it the right way. Not just take the player's listed height, set a percentage of the player's size (that is large than what the rule book states and what the MLB implements) and then expand the physical size of the horizontal zone bigger than the MLB.

It's insane to half arse it in this manner.

If my tally is correct, we've only challenged one via ABS. They've challenge a bunch. Maybe we should challenge more

We haven’t had many to challenge while pitching.

We’ve had some borderline ones while batting but every team is being conservative about letting batters challenge. And I don’t think any were consequential.

We have eyes and watched the replay

Yeah, if you had eyes, you saw him tap his head about a second after he threw the ball down to second base

Jay saw the guy throw down to second, not get his call then wanted a challenge. That’s not within the 1-2 second time frame. Ump should have dismissed challenge call.

The OU catcher is smart. He’s challenged the high corners of the plate and has won almost all of them. This ump doesn’t see that part of the zone well.

I get the purpose of this, but disagree.

You shouldn't be penalized with reduced challenges if the umpire keeps fricking up.

Luckily the OU SS took the play off and half assed the tag. If he tags like the play was strike 3 then Milam is hosed.

Milam slowed when ball 4 was called, then put the gas on when the catcher popped up. He would have been easily safe if he had not, regardless of the SS.
