challenges have been like 75% successful. Pretty predictable considering they enlarged the strike zone, so balls are being called strikes incorrectly by ABS. The strike zone is fricking massive now

Arrambide challenged one and the ump was correct. Only 1 play went to review tonight and went LSU's way. OU has had 7 or 8 go their way.

What’s his problem with safe at 2nd?

Was his issue was with how long they were given to challenge the ball call?

I think it’s bullshite that if a ball even barely touches the black it’s a strike if originally called a ball. That pitch was not a strike.

Luckily the OU SS took the play off and half assed the tag. If he tags like the play was strike 3 then Milam is hosed.

That is not a strike... no matter what that Birmingham ABS says

Yep. The box is way too big especially if you count the seams touching it as being in the zone.

I think Jay wanted them to review whether or not it was a late challenge. Which becomes the flaw with ABS. You're still at the whim of whether the ump wants to grant the review or not.

Play the game the way it's meant to be played, fren
The base runner relies upon the umpire's call. That's the rule. If the umpire fricks it up, it's on them. The base runner is not penalized.

ABS might need a little tweaking. Maybe the 23-58% is a bit much on the low and high side

If my tally is correct, we've only challenged one via ABS. They've challenge a bunch. Maybe we should challenge more

no, he didn’t. We have eyes and watched the replay. He watched the outcome of tag then turned and tapped his head

Probably should have been 4 walks in a row, but Pearson decided to swing.
