Without Crews being Crews, the offense is 2/3 random solo homers combined with a multitude of fly outs and strike outs. A grind to get 5 runs against a bad team’s worst arms.

LSU is one of the worst teams in the conference in game 3 of a series. Cannot count on 13 runs every game, and that wasn't even enough last weekend. Pitching is absolutely embarrassing, and the defense isn't much better.

Our boys are not playing with any of their early season passion and talent. Errors in outfield seem way too many, our slump in batting is the worst part. They hit fly ball outs, strike outs way up and unluckily the Home-runs we get lately no one else is on base. We know the bullpen is struggling, we are supposed to be at this point playing our best baseball. I wanted to win today in hopes Arkansas May loose and puts us SEC champs. They don’t look like LSU at this point in season, I am beyond sad ??

I didn’t second guess JJ. I just noted that Herring hadn’t been pitching very well. He isn’t a sure shot option.
As for who “should” go in, I trust the coach. It’s not like he’s choosing from Josh Hader, Mariano Rivera and Dennis Eckersly.
It’s obvious our pen is very bad.
