What? He got the bunt down and advanced the runners. It was quite literally exactly what he was expected to do.
Now was it the right decision? I don’t know. But to call it a horrible attempt is just not correct.

Bunt was good call
Mathis & Millazzo completely screwed up

Wonder if Paul was paying attention at how you win games you shouldn't? Glad its early. Will we see the same all year????

So you would rather not have the game tying run in scoring position?

No problem. Hard to win while giving up 6 runs, we'll just have to come back strong and win the weekend tomorrow.

It’s almost a default call because of the options off the bench
I wouldn’t bunt. But I get it, because the options aren’t great

Thanks Cheer. Beat Oklahoma tomorrow and forget about this mess

How many runners LSU leave at third tonight? 3?
Too many
How many have we left this entire weekend?
Our hitters have zero fricking plate discipline. This hitting coach isn’t worth a frick and neither is Paul as a head coach. The bottom half of our lineup has sucked for 3 straight years.

Not when you're down by more than a run and only have 3 outs to work with.
If it was in any other inning besides the 9th, it would've been the right call.

He is the main recruiter, position coach and is responsible for anything that goes wrong or right. We aren’t a powerhouse anymore and that falls directly on PM. I just want to see a powerhouse baseball team again

Noticed early on that Milazzo steps in the bucket and also lunges/drifts when he strides. CB on the outside half is where a hitters weakness is when a player does this. It’s just a matter of time before teams figure this out.

Relievers and coaches blew that one.
We also had chances to tack on in the middle innings and didn’t take advantage.
Storz has been average. I know we don’t have any star setup guys available but I would have preferred experience there. Once Kaminer beaned the lefty there’s no way he should’ve stayed in there. Poor move by Mainieri

I would rather have 3 chances to swing than 2.
Pinch hit Travinski.

The pitcher almost had a shot at throwing out the runner at 2nd. He reached for the bunt and basically put it on the mound. Overall bad form. It got the job done, but the hope is to rush a throw and maybe get a wild throw also.

I will say this
3 lefties in a row be damned
Cabrera needs to be your 2-hole hitter.
Yes it’s random that the game ended on Milazzo in the 2 hole. But your (projected) two best hitters are left in the on-deck circle to end the game.
Get your best hitters as many plate appearances as possible.
Move Cabrera up in the order

Wr needed 2 runs. I don't mind the bunt from the 9 hole. However, no need for Mathis to try and hit HRs. He just needs to put the ball in play. Anything in play scores at least 1. That's coaching.

I’m just an armchair coach though. Hindsight 20-20, but maybe I am thinking about the teams that had a shot of winning the championship, not these last few years team that underperform

That definitely was a bad beat. ---Hampton misjudges a ball with 2 outs next guy hits a 2 run jack.
Batter is mysteriously hit on an 0-2 pitch and the next guy hits a 2 run jack.
Crazy how little things comeback to get you

I’ll reserve judgement until Arnold gets back.
If Arnold can be a ~720 OPS kinda guy, then you got a team that can compete.
That would extend the lineup, and he’s supposedly a solid glove at SS
