If we are running a fast paced offense, we could possibly be as good as we were this year without a true big. Hopefully JOB and Hickey improve a good bit

This looks about right for me but I honestly think we would be starting Ludwig over Courtney... Sacry yes, but I think he brings more to the table at the 4.

if that happens, and let's say the 5 we get is on the level of storm or white. Are we better, worse, or about the same as last season?

we'll miss hamilton's occasional big game but i think we'll be better on the perimeter. hopefully johnny has more performances like he had against arkansas in the sec tournament, owning the boards, drawing contact and getting to the line.

Even without a big at least we have a coach who likes to play fast paced. Could help us be quicker if we played a "4 guard" offense. As long as Ludwig/Courtney doesn't get beat up too bad at the 4 this lineup could be pretty solid. Especially if we get freshman Turner back and Coleman and Hammink are as good as advertised

More athletic. More scoring on the perimeter. More shot creation.

Sucks that Ham decided to leave because this team would be a top 15 team IMO with the 3 we have signed + Ham.

I can. Most teams really didn't do much different with their 2 vs their 3 guards. Plus Turner should have some height on them which will allow him to back off a little bit and still be in their face.

turner isn't a very good defender period. but he played there his freshman season and did okay. went up against tougher matchups last season.

People won't be able to bitch about small guards anymore... We would be starting two 6'6" guards. have a 6'9" 4 and 5.

PG

Hickey
Stringer
**This will be better than last year mostly because Hickey will have an extra year to mature and Stringer must know where his role will be and has time to work on the appropriate skills.

SG

Turner
Morgan
Issac
**This will be much better. Defense may be a bit of an issue with Turner, but with his size he will cause some players fits. Also I think he realized last season that ne needs to improve his defense and pressure is a big factor in Jones' defenses

SF
Coleman
Hammink
**Coleman has the ability to really drive to the hole which is something we havent really had from Turner who is a majority jump shooter. With his tall frame but skinny body his athleticism will be perfect for Jones defensive style. I think for the style of play that we are planning on developing this will be an upgrade.

PF
Ludwig
Courtney
**Definitely the big downgrade of the lineup. That is why it's important to try and get a big guy to fill this void. Either way, Ludwig could bring stability to a fast paced team and has shown to be able to defend a less physical PF. Courtney I just don't see fitting in as well. We wont need another player to sit on the 3 point line and that is all he has shown me of his game.

C
O'Bryant
Del Piero
** The idea that Tuba man need to play scares the hell out of me. The idea that O'Bryant would be guarding 5's and could get into foul trouble scares the hell out of me. Overall, O'Braynt should be able to be fine as long as he stays out of foul trouble. But we really really really need another big.

Overall for the type of offense and defense we want to play, pressure is the name of the game and speed and good shot selection round out a style of play that will be fun to watch. I think this team could beat some solid teams and compete for a tourney birth, as long as they can get even a half decent big
