Don’t recognize sarcasm do you? The point is they do mean something. They factor in to overall ranking which has a lot to do with hosting a regional and more importantly getting a national seed.

very very little actually. voters don't care about them either if you win on the weekend
ETA: downvoting that doesn't make it untrue. Go look at the polls from week to week if you don't believe me. Go look at the teams who get national seeds every year and count the midweek losses. They don't matter
