After seeing how our coaches have performed this weekend, it makes sense our players are playing as bad as they are.
This is a top down failure. Continuing to shift when you've been beat on it almost every time this series is embarrassing.

We will have a home regional. We would have to go on a historic losing streak to change that

Give Auburn credit, they actually know how to hit, situationally and to different parts of the field. Not just slug
Curiel is the only pure hitter we have right now and he brought that with him

Why do teams shift pull side with 2 strikes now? For 1,000 years of baseball players have tried to shorten up and go the other way with 2 strikes.

We didn’t hit the ball great against Okie. Blame the weather if you want. We’re swinging at bad pitches trying to hit the ball out the park. Hinch the 14 fly outs last night.

Home regional will not matter if they need to go on the road for the Super. They must have home field advantage to make Omaha.

I’m old school, this shift crap isn’t all it’s cracked up to be at the college level. Pros is fine, but not here. Just play normal damn baseball.

Jay does some really stupid shite. Like the shifts, outfield positioning, and reviewing plays that have no chance of being overturned for no reason

If you go analytics you have to do it all the time or it defeats the purpose. Maybe they could raise the threshold of when they want to shift a batter though

This is further proof it's time to put Cowan in as the Sunday starter.
I could understand if Shores has shown some improvement, but he hasn't. He just doesn't have it so far this year after coming back from his injury. Sometimes it takes a while for pitchers to come back from that. But continuing to run him out there on Sundays when you have Cowan is ridiculous.
