Fontenot has been solid. he has not pitched deep though. I think we want to start strong and just see how far he can go.

Anyone have an idea of what Yorkes fielding % is? I don’t think they post it on D1 but if it’s decent enough then maybe CJJ is taking the Braswell approach with him thinking the bat will come around.

I wish we'd see more of Lachenmeyer. He's been very good his last couple of outings and has the ability to throw strikes, which this team desperately needs.

Fontenot to Cowan will be difficult for their hitters to adjust to. I like it!

That aspect makes sense, id have swapped them and gone cowan to fontenot, but it is what it is

I'm thinking Jay or Yeskie wants to see how Fontenot performs as a starter.

.980%
4 errors

That is official, I think reality is a bit worse

Tennessee threw different guys than what they announced earlier in the week, so Jay is probably doing the same gamesmanship, plus this saves Guidry for a high leverage spot since Sheerin probably isn’t available

It's .980, which is horrendous for a first baseman, since they have anywhere from 2 to 8 times the chances as the other fielders, and a large portion of those are simple throws to first that he just has to catch.

And as a first baseman, all those routine throws to first help elevate your fielding percentage compared to everyone else except the catcher.

So how many innings does Jay want out of Fontenot? 2 max?

Then Cowan for 5 innings i would think
