I'm just questioning why we suck so bad at this position??? They both can't bat, can't throw runners out at 2nd? How can we not sign a catcher that is capable of throwing a runner out? Hell, I think we have only thrown 1 runners out ALL YEAR! And that was thrown on the wrong side of the bag!

Says the person starting a thread calling out Garza’s catching tonight

His catching Lange’s curveball was really taken for granted.

I can't remember a better defensive catcher than Pap.

What is more infuriating than watching Broussard hit pop ups...
Coming in to that at bat he was 2 for 3 including a double with 3 rbi.

One of the girls behind the home dugout has been on the phone for like 3 innings I guess it’s pretty quiet at the park

I’d have to see a replay but why didn’t mathis try to get the force out at 2nd in that tapper. Could have gotten a double play. He is just not very good at anything.

I’m watching too. I know what he’s done tonight, but he’s struggled hitting weak pop ups all year. It’s been commented about all year, which partially led to his sub .200 average.

The comparison to Willie Mays Hayes has been made for weeks.

The chances of even getting the runner at 2nd are low enough, but the chance of a double play is probably very close to zero.
