Ruckert will 100% not be at SS next season. If he is, Jay is mental. Don’t mind him at 2B but he has a lot of fielding work to do this offseason.

This team was never all that good but once Yorke was pulled they went to terrible. Yorke was the key piece to an average regular season and a shot at the post season.

In the context of the way the portal class was recruited, Simpson is the most egregious miss.
Yorke and Carraway were late adds after the draft and were more relational than evaluational. Both terrible, but less bad as far as the decision to bring them in.
Simpson committed early. We picked him out early as our guy. But he was never good at any position and didn’t hit worth a shite against power conference teams. The best pitchers in his conference were on his team.
He never should have been offered.

I would agree. It’s understandable that we might have a down year, especially with the injuries, but getting swept (and for the most part destroyed) 4-5 times this season is really concerning. Twice this season, they’ve given a sense of turning the corner, and then been flat-out crushed.
