Not gonna hold my breath on that one, but there's a chance that with two weeks and a few tweaks to the horrible Kelly/Sloan approach Wilson might get the Tigers ready for a competitive game.
That's what ABC is banking on.

I wouldn't say "way better", but I do agree it is a better matchup. Simpson is mobile. However, it's closer to Klubnik than Pavia and Reed. If motivated, and moderately healthy, I think the defense can give LSU a fighting chance.
The question is what does the "new" offense do? If it is the same tired approach, LSU has no chance. If there are adjustments made, then maybe. It will be interesting to see what happens at the QB position. Kelly/Sloan are gone and it's unlikely anyone on the current staff will be considered for the HC job...or even retaining their job on the LSU staff (except Frank). Thus, there should be no unwavering loyalty to Nussmeier to keep him on the field if he is ineffective.

Dare I say upset alert??? LSU has zero pressure and Alabama has a lot of pressure still in the playoff hunt. Our guys have nothing to lose and it’s still tiger stadium. I think we have a shot.
