What is the purpose of the event? To win or to give fans bragging material?

I don't see how so many here think this game will be a blow out considering just how anemic our passing game has been.
We passed for an average of 72 yards against Miss. State and Auburn (both wins).
We passed for an average of 300 against Ole Miss and Arkansas (both losses).
The efficiency certainly can (and should) improve, which is where our problem is.
But if the O-Line is working, we could complete 5 passes and win by 10+ in this game.

LSU should win this game by 17 or so

Wisky should be a top 25 team imo. They always play above expectations. I think we win by 17-21

Bad QB + Our secondary = Bad news for wisky
Not sure how you are coming up with this comment. Is Houston unproven... yes. Is he a bad QB? I'm a die hard Badger fan and I don't even know.
I know he can make all the throws, and he did win the starting job. I do know he was 38-1 in his career starts in High School at California powerhouse De La Salle. He also won the only game he played in last season (Illinois).
But, this is his first start in college as a 5th year senior. Maybe it will be too big of stage... but maybe he is just one of those rare QBs that are a different animal in games. We just don't know.
I think the game will be closer than expected, as I think our defense is up to the challenge. Also, if anyone can out scheme Dave Aranda, I'd trust Paul Chryst to do it.
People say Aranda knows UW's offense. But last season UW didn't have most of its talent on offense (injuries), which I'm sure limited how much Chryst could install. So honestly, I'm not sure what Aranda learned. I'd bet Chryst knows Aranda system fairly well however.
Unfortunately, I have the score 27-21 LSU

This. If I was betting on the game I might feel differently.

The strength of their Wisky defense is their front seven. They are vulnerable in the secondary, which we struggle to exploit.
You can exploit a secondary with your running game. See Auburn last year. Wisky will not stop LSU's running game without a gigantic contribution from its secondary. Even Bama couldn't.

You guys don't really think Vegas is handicapping on a vastly improved LSU air attack?

whiskey probably getting more than the standard 3 points for a "home" game, I'd be surprised if it were that close
