They will never get it.

On paper, by the stats, it's like the Yankees vs

Very decent chance they are a tough 4 seed here

If they keep winning and hold anywhere near that RPI, they will not be a 4 seed. Tonight is a pretty big game for McNeese.

Agree. Usually, 4 seeds are for conference tourney champs that would not otherwise sniff a bid. If they play well enough for an at large, it will be as a 3 seed.

Mostly but not always

Then we should lose tonight to keep them on a 3 seed trajectory

Not the worst idea I've seen

There's also SELU though. Having those two teams as 3 and 4s would be a pretty tough regional. But if they're 2 and 3s that'd be real nice

if the pokes beat the tigers tonight, there will be a record number of pages to this topic....estimated 428 if that happens... LOL
On a serious note, my gut tells me they will come back with a vengeance and put up 10-12 runs tonight...

Congratulations on your prison release. Only acceptable excuse not to have gone to at least 1 game since 1992.

Make it 328 in honor of the Falcons.

May the best team win.

The Bear will look to go 4-5 with 2 HRs. Because its McNeese and not a SEC Team or a pivotal situation.

Jay will make 12 pitching changes to prove he's shrewdly surgical in tweaking matchups to favor our efforts...

Pretty sure they are in the same conference. There will be no shortage of regionals in this area to send those teams too.

Wow so I just checked as far back as 2020 and the Southland conference has been a 1 bid league every year.

As of right now the following teams all have RPIs that could make a case for an at large bid:
McNeese #26
UTRGV #35
Southeastern #51
And then there's Houston Christian who only has an RPI of 90 but is currently tied for 1st place in the conference standings

Think the opposite of Paul Mainieri's LSU teams in his last 3 years.

Houston Christian is led by Jackson Walker, son of Todd. Hitting 0.366.
