satisfied with the season; no. satisfied that this team achieved what it was capable of; yes. even a fool can't realistically expect to replace the stars we lost and weather the injuries we had unscathed. oh wait, i guess a fool can expect that.

We were close to so much more but I am proud of our team for getting 10 wins(about to be 11) after many setbacks that can crumble a team.

I would've like the Cotton but overall, yes.

SIAP

The team stuck together and overcame some pretty major hurdles that would've screwed up a lesser team's entire season. The injury bug wouldn't leave us alone early in the season. The OL was struggling, we had a brand new QB that hadn't started a college game, we lost a Heisman finalist CB, yet the team persevered and fought hard. They lost to Alabama in the last minute of the game. The last minute, literally. They also beat a top 5 team (#3 at the time) in South Carolina, while they had Marcus Lattimore and shut him down in the game. We beat the Heisman winner (more than likely) at their stadium and shut his rushing attempts down. Something the all powerful Alabama couldn't do. Then we end with a 10-2 record.

Take that all into consideration, I'm good with it. I'm not doing the coulda, woulda, shoulda stuff. What's done is done and we as fans should be happy about it. There will always be some that aren't but that's not for me to figure out.

I'm proud of our team.

I would. 7 years of Miles = 7 years of Bama victories.

Now I know you're trolling. Guess you missed the 2010 game? The 2005 game? The 2006 game? 2007? 2011?

Yep, sure looks like Bama won those games too.

Huge fail.

Miles. Saban
63-16. 67-13 Record
2. 2. Conference Titles
1. 2. National Titles
3. 4. Head To Head
2. 3. BSC Title Games

Some of you idiots need to take a deep breath. LSU is fine, has been, and will continue to be.

Yes, Alabama is awesome. And so are we. We can't help that Saban has built a program over there, it is what it is, but we can only do our best, and our best is right on par with their best. Alabama and LSU are basically interchangable programs at this point.

This amazing run that LSU's program is on will not last forever. I can only hope for your sake that you enjoy it while it lasts and quit not seeing the forrest for the trees.

Those of us who are disappointed

Seem to be blind to the fact we loss starters after the spring game at an alarming rate...1/2 the O line, starting RB, starting LB'ers, D backs, and a 2 position AA.

Expectations have to be/should be tempered with the understanding that key players missing games/playing time weakens a team.

10-2 was a pretty fine effort by this team considering those players not being there and the never seen before BCS strength of the SEC.

LOL at Nuts4LSU. You are a fricking joke on this board man.

First you called Les Larry Coker, now that it is year 8 of his tenure and hasn't been fired yet you've changed your tune to Cholly Mac.

Your predictions have been fricking abysmal. You predicted doom and gloom when Jamarcus was here because you stupidly thought Flynn was better. You predicted 6-5 and the team proceeded to go 9-2. You're going to have to excuse me for being skeptical when you say Alabama will beat LSU every year for the next 7. I'm sure it will turn out as poorly as the rest of your shitty "predictions".

10 win season and 2 losses. 1 to what will probably be the National Champion and another to the #3 team in the nation.

Yeah, we suck soooooooo bad.

The season was fun. The bowl bid is really lack-luster considering how much this team competed.

Yes-- considering there was a log jam of 10 win teams in the SEC whose only losses were to each other.

Not satisfied at all. Do I think it was an okay season? Yes. But I can never be satisfied with a season that we are favored to win the SEC and preseason #1 that ends in the Chicken Bowl with Alabama in the National Championship. That isn't satisfying in the least bit.

I think this is the second most disappointing season of Miles' career behind 2008.

I think this season will only be considered a success if we win the bowl game, as we SHOULD. If we lose, it's going off on an awful sour note. We faced some adversity once again this year, mostly in the form of our best player making a bad decision and the injury bug really destroying some parts of our team...not to mention some other off-field issues. The team has responded though, time to cap it off with a game we SHOULD win and finish this year.

It's basically 2010 again, with a lesser bowl, but a better opponent.

NO.
Any season without an SEC championship or national championship is a disappointment.

We have technically only lost one more game than Bama over the past 2 years... considering our off field distractions, attrition and a tougher schedule...
23-3 LSU
24-2 Bamalandteam
Granted that "one more loss" came at a bad time especially given our non-competitive performance

Overall, it was an enjoyable season. LSU played well, improved, and the coaching staff did an excellent job. Dropping to the CFA bowl was mostly out of their control.

I think i might be tough for some fans to cope with Bama and their dynastic run.

They will go down in history as "Ali" and LSU will be their "Fraizer".

Good season for LSU ...borderline 7-5, a few plays away.

Sad part is, 7-5 very possibly would've gotten us into the Chick-fil-a Bowl as well.

Sad we flamed out on the two big tests this past year- especially tough when I feel the coaches gave away one of them.
