He says he'll run a wide open RPO style offense, but then you hear other reports like some from Orgeron saying they will still run a pro style, but that it will be more west coast style. So, what is it, I'm confused, will you be wide open and using the spread or what??

I don’t think that O knows what he’s going to run yet. Ensminger prolly hasn’t told him.

I've already said that King Lowell, pardon me.......Lord Narcisse, is going to be Brandon Harris 2.0.

Hasn't shown enough consistent accuracy throwing the football in practice and scrimmages to be taken seriously.

Of course, he had a decent last scrimmage so all the "18 and Under" meek freak geeks on here are coming out of the woodwork.

Hasn't played in three years, has one good scrimmage and all of a sudden the Nut Butter's have him anointed the next Deshawn Watson.

LSU aint winning the SEC without a QB that can throw the ball. Aint winning the SEC because they have an athletic QB that can run fast either. (That's what running backs are for)

He does have the most upside obviously because of his rushing ability. I don't see how anyone can argue that point.
I don't care who wins it but are you serious? Its QB

Using your logic, Guice had the most upside as a QB for LSU last year.

There's a primary skill requirement for the position.

I was thinking the same thing.

That said, I'm glad that positive news is coming from the QB situation, I hope they ALL shine and the starting QB decision becomes extremely difficult for Ensminger.

He is strong fast and can run if needed. IMO he will eventually get the starting job

I see the LN people are using the Lindsey Scott formula to get him playing time. Forget what is actually happening and continue to pump your guy while stirring rumors of racism for the reason he doesn't start. Maybe it's the same people.

I'll reserve judgement until I actually see play from them.

Would be so sweet if this were really what happened.

I would you if the other team wasn't allowed to touch me....why wasn't it 1000?

Brennan is not allowed to get touched either and yet the rant keeps raving about his beautiful throws.

See exhibit A consisting of the 2017 National Championship game when a QB entered the game that could throw the ball.

Your logic is poor at best

Being able to run doesn't automatically mean that you don't have the ability to throw

You need look no further than the Exhibit A you're referring to. Tua can run also.

If Brennan as much as gets touched in the pocket they call the play dead.. Lowell and JM on the other hand take off running and the linebackers just head back to the huddle. There’s no real pursuit to even talk about. Plus once any of the QBs take off running the dbs just run right past them knowing it would have been a big hit in a game. Some QBs just keep running and it looks really good to the spectators but anyone that cares to honestly look at the situation knows when and where the scrambling qb would have been tackled. Everyone, other than some members of the D line, on the defensive side of the ball are just as fast if not faster than any of our QBs. So when they say one of our QBs would have, possibly, maybe run for more than 100 yards I think Grant, Geeedy, Devin and the rest of the defense would disagree. Plus Lowell was running against the #3 defense most of the day. He had one series against the ones and it did not end well. So let’s keep this in perspective.

Most, if not all, QBs who have actually beat Bama possess the ability to run the ball as well as throw it. I just do not see us beating Bama with a QB that can only do only one. It will take the 2011 LSU defense and a couple major breaks to actually beat them.

All goals run thru Bama. If you can't beat them then all this other stuff is just BS. It really comes down to that game. And then once you beat them, you have to hope you can finish the year out. Obviously, you can't go into that game with several losses either.

Even goofy Coach O knows this so unless Brennan can run a little the chances of us beating Bama are slim to none. You would need Tom Brady or Peyton Manning accuracy to beat him with a pocket passer.

The Auburn QB ran just enough to beat them last year. One of Auburn's scores was via his legs. You don't need Johnny Manziel but you need someone more mobile than Zack Mettenberger.

If Clemson would have had an above average D, then they beat them going away 2 years in a row.

I don't care who starts for LSU at QB but beating Bama will require solid D (which we will have this year), better special teams play (which I really think will improve this year) and a QB than can be productive as a runner and passer in key points in the game.

Saban has way to much talent now to try an overmatch his overall team talent. He forces your hand and its normally at the QB position. He reduces the game to that -- and in college football most teams don't have a QB that can make plays both ways....

Out of reach what are u talking about? They laid a goose egg after the first drive of the second half. Only a FG in OT. Who said there was only one way? But hey look at the last 10-12 years of college football and look at who won nattys and guess what the trend is outside of Coker who is an outlier who had a Bama defense to back him up.

Are u talking pro QBs? Man just stop!! Chad Kelly was a threat to run stop it. He was a legit threat to pull the ball and run. Are u kidding me did u not see Tua escape pressure and make those cats look like fools on a couple drives. His prowess to throw and run negated a rush and takes a extra defender out of coverage

So Ed is lying right? Along with other HS coaches at the scrimmage? I know he was ur former player but jees man. I like also in another thread u mentioned Lowell’s pick 6 in goal line but failed to mention those two picks Brennan threw in the scrimmage before but hey it’s all good.

So you dont see the difference in a well thrown accurate ball to the proper wr against the coverage...and running downfield not allowed to be touched?

I'll help you out, running untouched takes very little skill, and often is the product of not being able to work thru progressions

The head coach and the media pointed out the ints that Brennan threw which were not pic 6 but no one said a word about the pic 6 that Narcisse through. Everyone still mentions the the 2 pics that Brennan threw in games last year. And no one mentions the pics that LN has thrown this spring. Do you really believe that Narcisse has not thrown an INT all spring? So you tell me if Ed is lying or not. And I am not his former coach. I do not want that put on the coach at Denham Springs, he’s got enough to worry about.

I did not say that he didn’t but when reporting stuff don’t leave stuff like interceptions out for one and then mention it for others. It’s screams bias bc of whatever personal connection u have to MB. Narcisse had more than 1 drive with the 1’s u know that. At the end of the day we both know neither QB is ready right now. It’s gonna be a long season.
