Good luck to him. However, it takes a lot more than a strong arm.

I don't want to hear another word about his lack of accuracy -- these guys said that RIGHT NOW he's already better than half the starting QBs in the NFL.

I posted a few times this fall regarding Narcisse. I saw warm up drills at the Bama game and he was throwing effortlessly and on target on all throws. Everyone else had to make a concerted effort to throw the ball that far.

The problem is we wont know about his game accuracy, his ability to make checks and his ability to read defenses until he actually plays...

No matter if it’s Brennan or Narcisse give me a very good offensive line with a solid running game and receivers that can run routes and separate. It all has to come together.

I'm not a palm tree expert but they definitely have palm trees in South Carolina. Are you saying that specific variety isn't likely to be found there?

Lots of guys are practice all americans. We'll have to see what happens under the lights and under pressure. I hope one or both have what it takes. Think back to Rohan, he was practice garbage but great in the games.

eah, this is just not true unless he’s become 100% better QB than he was in the fall. He was not good throwing the ball even in warmups, and everyone has said so.

Sorry but I call bullshite on this. From what I recall there was one guy there saying he struggled... then others picked up on that and ran with it — especially Brennan fans. According to what I heard personally, the problem wasn’t accuracy; the problem was that A) they wanted to make sure he was 100% healthy, and B) he needed to become accustomed to taking snaps under center, as opposed to primarily shotgun.

Are you serious? You think all he has is a strong arm? He was the #3 ranked dual threat behind Tua and a kid at TCU (name escapes me) prior to his injury. Only reason he dropped was because he didn’t play. You obviously didn’t see him in HS.

They said that about Joe Ferguson (Arkansas starting QB from 1970-72). When he was a senior in high school, they said he was better than Super Bowl III winning QB JOE NAMATH!!!

Stick around and get 2 years of starting action at QB.

He’s already been sitting for 3 years. I don’t see him sitting 2 more waiting to start. Other teams are still in touch with him.

He passed more than you might think.

In 30 games he was roughly 60/40 pass to run. Scored tds 65/35 pass/run.

Rushing

He passed for 56% completion rate, when he was scrambling damn near every play due to his elementary school-level O-line. I'd guesstimate that more that more than half his throws were made on the run.

Now I'm certainly not saying that he's as accurate as Brennan. However, he's accurate enough, and his other intangibles are what makes him superior, in my opinion.

Didn't realize he was that highly rated. Sounds like we might have some legit talent at the position next year.

I work with someone who has personal knowledge of the situation and says that Narcisse will stay at LSU so long as he feels he is getting an genuine shot at competing for the starting position. If he feels otherwise, expect him to transfer.

I honestly think this will be a difficult situation for the coaches, but in a good way. In Canada’s offense, I fully expected Narcisse to eventually become the starter but I am uncertain about what to expect from Ensminger.

Either way, it looks like an excess of very good QB problem, haven’t had that since Randal/Russell/Flynn

If he's accurate enough he needs to start because with his size and running ability it's too much to pass up. I rather defer to Brennan if Lowell can't play instead of just giving it to Brennan and never seeing what Lowell is capable of.

I'm all for a fair competition and may the best tiger win.

However, the best comparison we have between LN and MB was head to head at the elite 11 competition which both were at (along with Tua, who won the competition), and MB fared much better at that time.

Maybe LN has improved much more than Brennan since then, but that remains to be seen. Brennan is known for working pretty hard at his craft so if Narcisse is that much improved, then next year could be entertaining.

Of course, none of this does any good, since all it really ends up doing is fueling camps of people dug in on which quarterback they think is best, and ultimately leads to bashing of the other. Both of these fine young men chose to take their talents to LSU and should be appreciated regardless of who wins the starter role.
