Hope we have a fair QB competition and not one with 2 plays for the other guys not named Brennan similar to last year. The backup/mobile QB's constantly had 2 to 3 chances each per scrimmage to make a play compared to 20+ for Brennan and DE.

To fairly evaluate them, you need to take a more balanced sample size in similar situations.

I was there that night, I remember JJ walking into Shady's wearing sunglasses and a grill

It was Jarvis Landry that delivered the most damage.

Poor Josh Johns..

Jordan Jefferson threw a punch, but it was intercepted.

You guys think he is better QB because of what you saw in HS. I can tell you from personel experience , totally two different animals. I wish the kid good luck ,but two major knee surgeries is a lot to overcome. I have faith in coaching staff that sees these guys throwing everyday at practice. Not that I don't love you guys but not going to take your word over guys that make tons of money to evaluate these kids.

Didn't realize one man could win a game by himself. Hell of a QB there how many heismans did JJ win again. Look Mr Jefferson he was ok at best. QBs are supposed to be able to pass , JJ would had been a better RB then QB. But apparently he did have some good weed.

He damn sure could lose one like Lee was doing in TTown. Or like Etling did everytime he shite the bed against Bama or like Mett when he threw 3 fricking picks against Ole Miss. Or like Harris at Wiscosin. I get it you rather a qb that puts up numbers as opposed to the kid that finds a way to win. No need to respond. I get your point. I rather the guy who finds a way to win.

Well thank you! Did you see championship game against Alabama? Holy Crap ! And Lee got us there that year. I see it like it is . JJ tore team apart . FACT! No need to respond ! See how that works . Good luck my LSU brother.

The kid can throw a football and I've said that a lot on here, how people keep assuming it's Myles Brennan's job to lose, I don't get it. Lowell Narcisse has Heisman trophy ability, I said in an old post he reminded me of a lefthanded Ryan Perriloux. Similar size, he is just a better and more physical runner, but you go and look at the kids Hudl film and he throws passes with deft touch like Perriloux, but he has a strong enough arm to fire it in there and knock someone down. Lol Perriloux threw with great touch too, but was just to immature staying in trouble all the time. I'm sure now that he's grown up and matured some, he looks back at his LSU career with major regret and knows what could have been.

But Narcisse has the talent to be the starter over Brennan, Brennan does have good arm talent too so don't get me wrong, but Narcisse can be explosive in a wide open RPO offense tailored to fit him like Ensminger is talking about, if he is completely healthy again of course.

Tons of good scoop in this thread

Narcisse is a polished Brennon down in Fl on the play Brennon ran with Narcisse covering while mcmillan was in hawaii with lane kiffin and f king

That's my quick take, if anyone has better cliffs I'd love to read

Yeah, but the thing he has working in his favor is that he is still very young. As a former player myself I had some serious injuries in high school, a tendon rupture and a couple of broken bones in leg and arm. I healed after surgeries from all those injuries has if I had Wolverine's healing powers. Lol When you are that young your body is still changing and growing and getting stronger, so a serious injury can be recovered from in no time. You saw how fast he bounced back from the first knee surgery to play again I think at the end of the same season when they were in the playoffs. I think the kid is fully recovered now and ready to go. Also, in a lot of cases when young like that, the injury heals stronger than it was before.

As we have seen in the past, having a big arm and lighting it up in practice is very different than the live fire of a game. Let’s see how he can handle pressure before we anoint him.

Sounds like BH reports rehashed. Gotta do it in practice or it did not happen, no matter who reports it
I've said on here several times that he looks just like BH in practice.

Big, strong, athletic, wheels........but can't consistently hit the broad side of a barn throwing the football.

Throw in the playbook, reading defenses, game management and quick information processing skills (In a high pressure SEC game) and you've got BH 2.0.

Gonna be a lot of disappointed "King Lowell" entourage fans after Spring practice when Brennan is light years ahead in running the Offense that O&E want to run. (Modified West Coast)

I think he will have some special "King" packages for goal line or if we're up comfortably and need to run some clock by mostly running the ball............

This sounds encouraging.

I just hope there is a real battle and fair competition for that starting QB spot.

O needs have a real competition. Dont count on it. 1 to 2 transfers before the start of the season

Sorry to disappoint you but my posts have nothing to do with who I want as qb, just stating the facts. As Jack Nicholson said in "A Few Good Men", you can't handle the truth. I don't care which qb starts, I just want LSU to be successful.

The good thing is they'll both get plenty of reps during the spring game now that Etling isn't here. Nowell needs to be given a chance to run the entire offense. If there are some plays that he can run that Brennan can't that's fine but he shouldn't be limited to only those plays.
