Etling said Lowell Narcisse will be a stud QB. He said he was amazed how well he learned the offense last season with so little reps. Etling also said that his concentration at practice has been very good and he has demonstrated a high degree of maturity.
Then he said he just has a few more basic things to hone his skills on but he said with good coaching, lots of repetitions, and with continued hard work and dedication he could polish off those things really quickly.
I personally think that because of his size, his athleticism, his strength, his speed, his maturity, and his cannon for an arm that he has a higher ceiling than Brennan does.
Also heard Coach O was highly impressed with his progress once he became fully healthy. I hope the competition this spring is fair and may the best quarterback win.
Furthermore, most of the time but not all the time, people who suffer knee injuries have stronger knees after their surgery and rehabilitation than before. So I have my fingers crossed that it will be that way with Lowell Narcisse.

comparing him to an NFL QB

Obviously, Jarvis was talking about in that particular setting only that in his opinion he was better than half the QBs in the NFL. As Narcisse has a cannon for an arm and is a very gifted passer, but he didn’t say anything about in game-type situations.
Of course, as a newbie QB, Narcisse is not going to be able to compete with NFL QBs because at this point he is just learning the college game and gaining experience, but nonetheless, if he progresses in the next three or four years and reaches his full potential, then yeah, I bet he will be a high draft choice. It all depends on him and his dedication to reaching his full potential.

Many people fail to realize this. They think that once a player suffer a knee injury, or multiple injuries, that it hobbles the guy, when in actuality, they often come back even stronger and faster than before.

I heard that Lowell’s work ethic has been questionable at times, but lately, he’s been working his tail off after finally feeling healthy again. Those of you who have played know that it usually isn’t until the second year until you feel normal again after ACL surgery.

It is one thing to be laser accurate without a defense on a field. Can he maintain his accuracy when a 300b lineman is chasing him, and can he read a defense? Does he lock on one receiver so the entire stadium knows where he plans to throw the ball? Does he know the playbook? What is his football IQ?
He needs game action to answer these questions. ...and no one is perfect, so he will make errors. Brennan will too.

Doubt he gets a fair shot. Brennan has been crowned the next QB at LSU for the rest of his career.

Yea we'd rather lose than play the best player.

As much as I didn't care for miles' conservative philosophy, that had nothing to do with Harris failures. Your keyword was scrimmage, where no contact is involved and not all out blitz situations. I stated this earlier, he could not handle the speed of the game and process everything. Some people are practice guys and others are "gamers".

Guess if Brennan starts it means it's because he is O's man . Please lose your voice and get cramps in all your fingers.

Dont compare him to JJ, who though not great but also wasnt terrible as many proclaim. This dude may be the next Deshaun Watson for all we know.
Also, JJ beat Bama twice, how many qbs can say that?????

No qb that has played for LSU after him. I hate people shite on Jefferson all the time on here. I would take Jefferson in a heart beat over what we have had at qb since he graduated.

LOL enough people seen him to have him rated as the #3 DT QB in the country despite missing so many games so there's that.
