Rewatching game and that call on Jay Ward was such BS and that rule should change. He got into a natural balanced football blocking position and hit a giant man in the nuts.

You can’t tell a 6 footer to go block a 6’7 TE or Olineman above the waist. That’s dangerous for db and a huge disadvantage.

Thoughts? Just a change of pace from portal talk.

What could he do? He hit the guy head on, not at the knees. A 6-7 guy.

It’s when I knew the fix was in.

Initial contact appeared to be to the midsection and momentum carried Ward down to the thighs.

Subjective call that I do not agree with.

Is a low block anything below the waist?

"They call this to protect the blocker's knees"

*replay shows Ward hitting him in his waist*

5 seconds of awkward silence

It's a good rule but that was a bs call.

What are your thoughts on Nuss as QB1 though?

Waist is fine. Can't block at or below knees. Which never happened.

I didn't realize on the first drive Bech got tackled in the end zone. Of course no call!

It was crazy. Ward gets murdered if he does anything else. They’ll get someone destroyed out there.

Bech also was tackled before the ball was there on their INT.

Poo poo call.
It didn’t even fit the technical definition of a low block!

One of many Bs calls/no calls that favored Georgia. Not sure why they fricked us. Georgia was the better team anyway, they didn’t need the help

It’s not a good rule in that situation, the TE is the aggressor. If he is standing still or blindside I get it. Why do they allow you to tackle below the waist? Same situation.
