Love It When National Sports Writers Doubt Abilities Of Coach O

Jerry Brewer writer for Washington Post just said he is not believer in Coach O (on Finebaum Show). IMHO Coach O has done a fine job. Gotta love the naysayers

They think he is stupid because of his accent. That should offend every person in this state. If he keeps proving people wrong will can laugh at those frickers for years to come.

He's done a solid job so far. If things continue like this he will have done an outstanding job.

Sweet love of Jesus. O has never beaten Alabama, won his division, won his conference, or made the playoff. Until he does those things, there will be justified skepticism. I'm skeptical. There are a lot of people on this board blithely and preemptively assuming that we are going to beat Texas and go on to win the SEC. I'll wait until it actually happens to celebrate and credit O.

He also one of the reasons for doubting O was because he will have to defeat Saban and Smart and that they are vastly superior coaches. I'll give him the former but didn't LSU beat the living hell out of UGA last year? Go back to covering Penn State, Jerry. You know jack shite about the SEC.

All the guy said is that he isn't convinced that he matches up against Saban. And he did say that he expects us to win vs Texas.

Canwood, that post you are responding to didn't have one false word in it. Look, I BLEED purple & gold, and am thrilled with how we look so far and how the program is trending upward. But O really hasn't accomplished what needs to be accomplished at LSU yet. I have my doubts he will take LSU to the heights we deserve AND keep us there. Please, please, please Coach O make me eat those words.

I don’t Smart is vastly superior. Saban is better than everyone but Dabo. O is doing a very good job here.

His has made steady progress and improvements year over year since being HC.
This week and this season will tell us a lot.
I already love the new offense that Coach O is responsible for.
There is a lot of reasons to be optimistic and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fan.
It’s the definition of being a fan.

What did he say that was wrong? You can like the job Orgeron is currently doing, but still admit all of those things are true.
Until Orgeron beats Alabama, wins the West and gets us off this plateau of 3 to 4 loss seasons, there will be skeptics.
