I try to be understanding of divergent viewpoints, but then I see a post like this and wonder if a portion of the fanbase exists in a drug-induced alternate reality.

Our SEC record last season was 5-3, worse than the year prior. We were shut out in a humiliating home loss to Bama where we didnt even approach competing with, much less beating, the Tide. O has suffered two consecutive losses to Dan Mullen. He is also responsible for an out of conference loss to Troy, the worst loss to Miss State in program history, and the program's first loss to TAMU in SEC play. He has never won the West or the conference. The offense has continued to struggle the last two seasons under coordinators hand-picked by O.

How is any of that equivalent to "completely turn[ing] around a program"?

If O actually wins anything of note this season, he deserves credit. If not, he deserves continued skepticism.

This is why I don't know why anyone is happy with O. The only way to beat modern Bama is to out scheme them, because they're always going to have better players. O is never going to out scheme anyone, he's the least football-knowledgeable HC in Div 1.

O wasn’t hired to go 9-3. He was hired to immediately elevate the program to championship level. Still waiting to see it. And i’m hoping to see it this year.

The Washington Post has no clue when it comes to college football. Jerry Brewer sounded like a damn fool that's two years behind. I guess he failed to notice that O kicked Kirby Smart's arse head to head last year. I was an O doubter, but he's got me drinking the Kool-aid. Sure, there have been a couple of bumps along the way, but he's doing what he's promised. It's still early, but this is AT WORST looking like a 2 loss season.
