I’m having this discussion with some media personalities for an upcoming article about the loudest moments in college football. Obviously I told them to include the time we registered an earthquake

2007 UF, 2003 UGA, and 2012 Alabama stick out in my mind as some other games that were unbelievably loud, but I know there are more.

I was at all 3 of these. 2012 Bama and 2003 UGA (with Bama getting a slight edge) were probably the loudest sustained noise I’ve heard in Death Valley

2007 UF had the loudest moment I’ve ever heard when they announced that USC lost

2003 UGA, and 2012 Alabama

Probably the 2 most consistently loud and electric games in recent memory.

12 and 14 Bama were hostile AF. 07 UF was just plain fun.

Even though we lost, 2008 bama was the loudest I’ve experienced in TS. Specifically when we blocked that chip shot field goal to force over time. Place went absolutely nuts.

One of the loudest I’ve ever heard was 2014 game against ole miss. With the addition of the south end zone stadium club, it seemed to hold the noise in more.

Auburn Earthquake game. I was there and the burst of noise when we scored at the end was like an explosion. Good times.

This is how I remember those games as well.

2012 was also the quietest I’ve ever heard the stadium.

I would say the win vs georgia way back when I think skylar caught that pass and then I think webster sealed the deal with that pick. I also remember the fricking house rocking during the lsu loss to arkansas in like a double OT. That game was insane loud and prob more loud then the GA game so many highs and lows. Prob one of my favorite games ever just couldn't finish it

2007 Florida is by far the loudest I’ve ever heard it. It was absolutely electric that night.

12 bama for sure and I think 11 Arkansas is underrated bc I legitimately couldn’t even hear myself yelling at one point.

I know the capacity was less than it is now but the Southern Cal game I attended as a student in 1979 was the loudest I've ever been to. The student section was incredible that night.

I have had season tickets since 1982 so I have been to all of the other games that have been mentioned. Those were all loud games too but the Southern Cal game just stands out to me.

I was in high school at the time, but the earthquake game was the loudest single moment I've heard. And I was in the opposite endzone.

The capacity was less but the passion was just different than it is now. I truly believe technology has caused this.

The gator chomp “you suck” is still the greatest moment that I’ve experienced as a fan in TS

'59 Ole Miss....Billy Cannon punt return!! That was far and away the loudest in that version of Tiger Stadium!! I was there with a bunch of kids from the old Acadian Club in Baton Rouge!! Sheer pandemonium for ten minutes!!
