We just like being the underdog way more than being the favorite. It’s Louisiana baw.

When noise becomes so loud all you hear is a high pitched ring. I have experienced that 3 times in my life. Not in any other stadium. All in Death Valley.

I read where ESPN caught 108 decibels.

I suspect it has been a little louder in Tiger Stadium history, but those peaks on Taylor's TD and 2 point play were REALLY loud.

I think people forget how loud Florida 2019 was - that was a close game before we knew how dominant LSU was going to be. But this game was louder.

ESPN showed a sound meter that registered at 110db in the NEZ last night.

You can look it up, but 110 db is like a jackhammer, or standing near the runway with a 747 on its take off roll.

I of course was not at this game so I can't compare it, but I imagine 2003 Georgia and 2007 Florida still tops last night.

97 Florida was the only game that I think was close to last night.

Here’s the thing about last night, EVERY time Bama was making their play calls on offense the crowd was roaring. Not on big 3rd downs or on the 1st drive of the game. No. I mean EVERY play. From 1st & 10 from the 20 yard line on their 1st offensive play of the game until 1st & goal in overtime.

Have their been louder moments, yes. But in my 32 years of going to Tiger Stadium as a student & season ticket holder, I cannot remember a louder stadium through the whole game.

1979;USC game…I lost my voice and was acutely hoarse for a week following that game. It set the standard.

Yes. And I’ve been going since the 80’s.

I had Georgia friends texting me that Sanford Stadium was louder yesterday than Tiger Stadium.

Said they reached 125 decibels, but I think they were self reporting that bs inside their own stadium to artificially rev up the crowd.

Like Toby Keith said, “it’s not as good as it once was, but once it was as good as it ever was.”

Our fans shite on the atmosphere every chance they get, but when we have a big time matchup it’s always tops there, best in the nation.

Nothing will touch that 1979 USC game! But last night was one for the ages, hope that old spirit can continue!

I can't recall exactly what he said, but I seem to recall Herbie saying something about large speakers aren't needed in Tiger Stadium. Said it when Bama was pinned back near the endzone near the student section and got flagged for a false start.

Was at:

USC 79
FLORIDA 97
UGA 03
BAMA 22

BAMA 22 was as loud or louder than any of those games. The only change is that you no longer smell bourbon, beer has taken over.

I can’t talk and my ears are still ringing this morning.
And we were in the nosebleeds. For those Uppers to be rocking you know it was loud.

I’ve been to most of the good games since 1979 and this was one of the loudest. Period.
