97 Florida was the only game that I think was close to last night.

Here’s the thing about last night, EVERY time Bama was making their play calls on offense the crowd was roaring. Not on big 3rd downs or on the 1st drive of the game. No. I mean EVERY play.

Have there been louder moments, yes. But in my 32 years of going to Tiger Stadium as a student & season ticket holder, I cannot remember a louder stadium through the whole game.

I feel this is entirely accurate. During some of the other historic games the noise level may have temporarily peaked louder than last night, but on a consistent basis last night’s game was overall far louder on every Alabama play in my subjective viewpoint.

I was a young teenager in ‘97, but UF was a crazy loud game.

My seats were in south stadium lower level then and that was the loudest I’ve heard. My ears were ringing.

I moved to north stadium and the UGA and Florida games were loud but from my new seats it didn’t hurt my ears.

IMO it’s all the same bc in but in close games everyone is yelling. It’s the same loudness. Just depends where you sit.

Eta: but I wasn’t there last night so wtf do I know.

Last night was up there for sure, it was very loud consistently from start to finish. People were having a grand time too.

That was a classic Saturday night in Death Valley!

The biggest problem to me is we need the old block endzones that we had in 2003 instead of the current geaux font

1979 USC. I was in the upper deck and did not hear the noise. But my friends in the student section said they could not talk to each other because it was that loud.

A couple of big 3rd downs for Bama near the SEZ, the crowd was so loud my buddy next to me couldn't hear me yelling to him, "This is frickin LOUD!"

I imagine the NEZ with students was even louder.

Yes, my wife and I were literally yelling into each others ears to talk and still couldn't hear what we were saying. Not exaggerating at all, it was astonishing.

an't recall exactly what he said, but I seem to recall Herbie saying something about large speakers aren't needed in Tiger Stadium. Said it when Bama was pinned back near the endzone near the student section and got flagged for a false start.
Herbstreit was saying that Bama was in the loudest part of the stadium but Fowler corrected him and said it “was the loudest part of the planet!” Lol!

I was there for florida 07 and last night during the game I remember thinking at one point it may have gotten as loud as that florida game.

I just think the Florida game noise was sustained the entire time. Especially when the usc loss was announced. Like ear buzzing, can’t hear anything loud.

I was at all those games & I agree - sustained.

Skyler Green catch was a louder individual moment IMO.

This one is odd because the first half was fairly quiet. We had just lost to UAB the week before and leading UT at halftime was kinda shocking to everyone. I remember being at the concession at halftime and everyone was sorta just shrugging their shoulders in hope and confusion lol.

Now, the second half and of course OT Rohan to Royal was lights out.
