Well it’s better they play than opt out with millions in salary

Was there an injury that I don’t know of? Or are we just making up scenarios to find something to complain about?

Probably watched the Saints last week and didn't want a repeat of that.

They were trying to preserve the second half shutout.

We’re not exactly three deep in many positions.

With the turnover teams see now with the transfer portal you're going to see this more and more. Players need experience playing together in actual games and not just practice.

My view is Kiffin wants the starters to jell and play as a unit. There is a risk but tough stretch ahead and we have 2 weeks to heal up and get better.

Game reps are valuable and we have a bye next week.

Culture change. He put backups in. Auburn drives down the field with their 2nd string qb and with 2 mins left CLK said if yall don’t want to be out there I’ll put the starters back in. The standard is the standard. This isn’t Brian Kelly on the sidelines anymore.

People act like Lane is doing it to run up the score.

He's preparing.

Did you not notice that some starters were in while some backups came in? That's to get some snaps with the first string unit in case injuries happen.

There's a reason to the stuff Lane does.

They should also hold the starters out of practice; They could be injured by unfortunate contact or hit by a meteor. They could also be struck by a bolt of lightening while walking to class (assuming any of them go to class).

You can’t live scared. Sometimes bad things happen.

Lane says “you earn your playing time….by your actions”

The final Auburn drive went through the 2nd string like Swiss cheese… Lane sent a message. Put the starters back in.

It didn’t work. I know op getting ton of downvotes but I agree. On one hand if LK says in preseason we practice different don’t tackle to the ground etc because of the risk and what’s being paid to players. How is risk any different when outcome of the contest is decided and still have starters taking reps?? Hummm
