The loss wasn’t that bad. It was the way we lost that was infuriating

Les was running the same bullshite and we didn’t score until midway through the 3rd on a Tre white pick 6.

Missouri, State 2020, Troy and State 2017 were all worse imo. frick Auburn this year too was worse

I hated losing to Wisconsin also, but I was happy because I knew that was the crack in the dam that got Les out of town. So looking back, I’m thankful for that loss.

Let’s talk about losses that are stuck in my head.
1986 - #8 LSU LOST in Tiger Stadium to Miami of Ohio. Coach Arnsparger was an alum from there I think, so it was no coincidence we played them. Not only did they upset us they did so bigly.

1988 - I believe that was the year they were filming Everybody’s All American, but luckily it wasn’t being filmed that night. Miami was #3 and LSU was like #11 or something. The pre-game electricity was unlike any other game I’d ever felt in Tiger Stadium. It seemed more so for that game than the 1982 Florida State Game, but we won that one. This game was so bad I thought I was going to drown in the monsoon flood. That loss hung 3 on us and I think we wound up going to the Gator Bowl maybe that year?

We never fully recovered from that game until 2003. 15 years (yes I know we be UF in 97 but we lost to Ole Miss the next week). It wasn’t just the loss but the way we lost. I know this because I knew a couple of the BOS members then who were so pissed that they started looking at Curley Hallman (who was still the worst coach who caught lightning in a bottle with Brett Favre at So Miss). But this loss damn near ended LSU Football.

Side Note: 2019 was magical and restored all the things that were wrong for so many years. Sadly, 2020 has dragged us down into an almost 90’s era malaise that I fear will begin another 15 year dry spell beginning with the Moo State because I believe it to be that watershed loss that you either come back from OR you become it.

I wasn’t happy until we lost to auburn. Miles mismanaged the clock once again. Then I KNEW he was done. That was a good loss.

Makes no fricking sense. How is losing to a good consistent program like Wisconsin worse than losing a homecoming game to a G5 Troy team? What about losing 29-0 in a top 5 matchup in what many were calling the greatest on campus/in stadium atmospheres in recent memory? What about beating your division rival in a game of the century matchup only to lose to then 21-0 in your own backyard in a national title rematch? Your argument makes no sense. You must live in Wisconsin or have some grudge against Badger fans because I absolutely do not hate them and see no reason to.

It was a bad loss. I was there. Their fans didn't think they had a chance. It was an epic road/flight trip. It was a gorgeous day. Food was great although I think cheese curds are over-rated. To see Lambeau and the Packer museum and think about all the history there made the trip worth it. While imo, it wasn't the worst loss in Tiger history, the game was typical Miles/Stradawa-brutal-pee-wee play-calling and almost ruined the trip. Almost...

If Brandon Harris throws the ball away instead of into the arms of a defender the trajectory of the season, Brandon Harris' Tiger career, Les Miles' future, Coach O's lifetime dream job and Joe Burrow's transfer destination are all much different.
