Remember in 2016 at the beginning of the season when LSU played Wisconsin @ Wisconsin? Of course you do.
To me personally, there has never been a worst LSU loss when we loss to them; at least in the modern LSU era. Why? Because we took our cajun/creole asses up there and loss; from a team that was outside of the conference, despite it being the first game of the year.
I know losses happen, its sports, I get it. But losing to a team that is not within the family stings; and its a sting that lasts for a while. We played in legendary Packer stadium, on a hot September day; which is normal weather for us; not Wisconsin, had plans to Lambeau leap after a touchdown; but was told NOT to by coaches, and came back down south 0-1.
Losing a football game to a brother-conference school is bad, but we will see them again: Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State. But when you lose to a team, no matter where it is played, and they are NOT a brother school and you don't see them often or never will again, it stings.
The Wisconsin Badgers played a good game. I'm not taking anything from them. But this loss still is in the back of my mind. Yes, we have won the National Championship since then, but its that ONE team that you wish that you could have played again. This loss is still in the back of my head and occasionally comes to the front of my head to tell me: remember that time when your tigers went to Wisconsin and came back to Baton Rouge like their pet owner smeared their droppings in their face after they used it on the carpet?

I can name several losses that are much worse than Wisconsin lmao. One of them is from this year. Wisconsin is arguably the second best program in that conference as of this past decade and all they do is pump out stub linebackers/ O lineman

One of the best road trips I have been on even with the loss. Watching the game in legendary Lambeau was awesome and the Wisconsin fans were some of the best I have encountered over the years.

Wasn’t a bad loss at all

Miami of Ohio at home and then beating Alabama at Alabama!

Troy 2017.
Southern Miss in 1994. And in 1999, but I was in basic training so I can't claim the feeling of that loss.
Colorado State in 1992.
I'm too young to claim the Miami of Ohio game. I missed it by a year.

LF does not bust his ankle in preseason, LSU wins that game and AU with Miles not getting fired that year.

This is a boring post. You need some counseling.

Youre obviously slow so I'll leave you alone and just tell you that this is a really bad take. That was an awesome road trip. Getting to watch the Tigers play at LAMBEAU FIELD, was one of the highlights of my fandom, even with the LOSS. The Wiscy fans were awesome to us and that was a pretty elite Wisconsin team tat year too. That wasnt a bad loss at all. There have been MUCH worse losses as an LSU fan. A few since that Wiscy game.

Sitting in Tiger Stadium in a monsoon while watching Miami molest the tigers sticks in my mind.

Idk, we've lost at home to teams that will never be as good as Wisconsin.

I think people seem to forget how good that 2016 Wisconsin team was. They ended up going 11-3 and finishing in the top ten. Won the Big Ten West and only losses were to the teams ranked 3, 5, and 6 in the final CFP rankings.
