I much prefer playing and beating Ole Miss when they're ranked and harboring delusions of grandeur and a trip to Atlanta.

It comes along once a decade and it' makes the game so much more enjoyable.

And if you've never gone to a game there, don't. I went once and I'll never do it again. That place sucks. The fans, the city, the campus police..... the only good thing is when we beat them.

You've summed up my feelings EXACTLY! I especially despise the UF Police Department...most unprofessional, unlikable, and immature group masquerading as a police force I've ever encountered anywhere.

And that includes some third world countries.

They can put their best team that money could buy them and they still lost to an 8-5 music city bowl LSU team and their best season was a sugar bowl win. They’re irrelevant dude idk why you’re so salty. We are LSU. They are Ole Miss. not even a comparison.

The 2003 SEC West Champ flag they have hanging in their stadium is indicative of how these A-holes think. We won the SEC West in 03 after we beat them.

And then there's their walk of champions, which I think is made up of a couple of bricks.

Further proving my point. They are wannabes just like the Aggies. There’s contenders and then there’s pretenders. Know your place Rebels. You’re in the same boat as state, Arkansas and A&M. Not a contender like LSU bama and auburn.

That’s the weird thing, we are the third rival of each of our top two rivals

The only real rival we ever had that considered us their top rival was Tulane. We were probably #2 for for the Miss schools after each other. Not sure with R-Kansas or AtM, but we don't think of them as out close to our top rival.

I can assure you that people over 60 on here still hate them ALMOST as much as they hate Tulane. Bama is third with Florida a very close fourth on my list.

It really depends on the age of the fan. Older Ole Miss folks tend to think of LSU as their primary rivalry, then, MSU. But for those that went to school after the late 70s, it would be MSU. Other than 2003, and maybe 2014, the game hasn’t has been a big impact game for both schools at the same time in many years. For MSU fans, LSU really has never really been a rivalry. The series has been far too lopsided to create a real sense of rivalry.

LSU fans that live in Mississippi have daily reminders of why we hate each other in the first place. Our younger fans, not living in MISSISSIPPI, only see that LSU has dominated them this century and don’t really view them as threat. Now us older fans have been spoiled by the domination to the point we have forgotten what it is like when OM is good

You have to be relevant to be considered a Real rivalry, Alabama for one & now Texas a&m. After that 7 overtime game 2 yrs ago I would say LSU -A & M is the new most hated rivalry for the Tigers. Just like it was for UT longhorns vs aggies LSU will be their main rivalry. Aggie fan base much worse than any sec team.

Arkansas definitely views us as their top rival. The crazy thing is, their top rival used to be Texas. Just like A&M... see where this is going. We are the standard.

Ole miss is good for a big football win every 5 years or so ...but their season is usually over with by the end of October
Also the student population has been dropping the last 4 or 5 years...that's not a good sign
