This. It's baseball. Over the course of 50+ games you're going to lose here and there. LSU lost by one run, on the road, facing the opponent's #1 starter, while throwing their #3 guy. I wouldn't jump off the bandwagon just yet. If they go 1-5 in their last two series, then maybe you can worry a little. Until then, I wouldn't fret.

My bad, Jacoby was 7th. Still need to bring Laird back to 2nd if he's in the lineup. Stevenson at 9th is the only place for him.

OK PEOPLE. I AM NOT THROWING IN THE TOWEL.

THIS IS A DISCUSSION OVER HOW PEOPLE ARE FEELING ABOUT LAST NIGHTS GAME. THIS IS CALLED AN ADULT DISCUSSION. PLEASE DON'T THINK I AM BEING NEGATIVE AND/OR HAVING A MELTDOWN LIKE OTHERS DO AROUND HERE.

JUST LOOKING FOR THOUGHTS ON HOW THE GP FEELS OVER LAST NIGHT.

One loss does not constitute a slump. If LSU lost to ULM or some team of a lower talent level it would concern me. TAMU is a quality team and a player in the SEC

It is one lousy stinking baseball game out of 70. I feel nothing one way or the other. It means nothing in the big picture. Zero. There is nothing to "feel". They scored 2, we scored 1.

For real man.

You know I am not one to jump off the bandwagon over one freaking game.

I just thought I would get a discussion going and it turned into anarchy around here.

Meh, their ace pitched a really good game under some crazy conditions. On to the next one.

a great deal of playing baseball is mental... PM screwing around with batting order and with the cf/rf positions defensively is, imo, a big problem in games like last night!

Are you kidding me? No, just don't have Laird and Stevenson in the lineup together. THat's all

I think your thread title is what did it. I think I see where you wanted to go...but your title did you in.

Losing game 1 did not make us stronger. It did not make us weaker. It did not do anything. It is one game. One baseball game defines nothing.

So coaches should never change their lineup in an attempt to make things better?

Feeling a little disappointed at the errors when Glenn pitched such a good game, but given the conditions and all, it's surprising there weren't more errors all around. A&M made some outstanding defensive plays, and we seemed impatient at the plate. But not worried or anything - just always hate to lose!
