I love having the most guys in the NFL. We just have to learn to win with Freshmen and Sophomores.

Yay. If we were willing to settle for "pretty competitive" why didn't we just keep the previous staff? Oh yeah, we did, we just replaced the Winningest Head Coach in LSU history with the Losingest Coach in Ole Miss history. And paid a lot of money to do so. Seems like a sound decision.

Les was fired for not beating Bama. Thats the bar. Put a team on the field that is actually capable of beating them. Winning the games we are supposed to and then being non-competitive with the Bama's of the world isnt acceptable.
If this hire can't do that, whats the fricking point?

So no one could get Beckham and Landry the ball? How many yards receiving did they have again their last year?
are you saying Landry and Beckham were used to the peak of their abilities while at LSU? because thats my point, they were prodigies and their talent was wasted.

this is what LSU had on offense their final season...

QB - Zach Mettenberger
WR - Jarvis Landry
WR - Odell Beckham Jr
RB - Jeremy Hill
RB - Alfred Blue
LT - La'el Collins
C - Ethan Pocic
RG - Trai Turner

every one of those guys started in the NFL as rookies.

in the SEC that season, out of 14 teams, LSU had the number 6 scoring offense, the number 5 rush offense, the number 6 pass offense and the number 7 total offense.

This is the dumbest statement with zero fact behind it, even if you are in a blind rage at least get your facts right.
there. there are your facts.

feel better?

It will be yet another year where we waste an amazing defensive group to go absolutely nowhere in the post season

???????

Since you apparently haven't been watching , winning the games you're supposed to win and not being competitive with Bama describes most of the other teams who populate the Top 25 with us. Give the team a chance.

Weren’t we all hearing about the lack of talent at OL this year after the Miss State game? Where the hell is that arguement now? We are losing 3 to the draft.

For me, it's the 3 olineman that declared. In other years, i feel like these are the types of players that would likely stay. However, i think it's telling. They obviously see something and don't feel its worth while sticking around for. This coupled with the coaching situation at the HC, and OC....i think this team starts spiraling downward. Then i look a the schedule and it looks kinda grim with teams like Miami and UGA to face.
Really not looking forward to next year.

we will have a good and productive offense next year, not great but just good and better then most doom sayers want to claim.

We are breaking in a new QB and we lose both starting wide outs and our top 2 running backs(and any time you lose someone like Guice it's a big loss). The early declarations of 2 offensive lineman so far does not make me feel warm and fuzzy about things. We have some raw unproven talent that will have to grow up fast.

Landry and Beckham both had great years in '13. Top 5 in rec yards and plenty of receptions and TD's. Were the used to the peak of their abilities? Perhaps not but they both had outstanding seasons because Mett was in fact getting them the ball...you just changed the argument when someone called you out.

Welcome to LSU Football Strategy. The first rule of LSU Football Strategy is: you do not talk about LSU Football Strategy. The second rule of LSU Football Strategy is: you DO NOT talk about LSU Football Strategy! Third rule of LSU Football Strategy: if Orgeron yells “stop!”, goes limp, or taps out, the fight is over. Fourth rule: only two baws to a fight. Fifth rule: one fight at a time, Alleva. Sixth rule: the fights are bare knuckle. No shirt, no shoes, no binders, no weapons. Seventh rule: fights will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at LSU Football Strategy, you have to run the short side dive play.

Clapp is a RS JR and started for 3 years, so he makes sense, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt if he had stayed. the other two definitely should. if its 3, thats even worse.

when it comes to the teams enthusiasm for the future, there appears to be a slight disconnect between what we're seeing and what O is telling us.

2013 season Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham ranks as #16 and #22 in Yards receiving in a season in SEC History! And are the only 2 from the same team and season in the top 25. That my friend is a cool fact, even if you don't like it.

That's exactly it...there doesn't seem to be any enthusiasm for the program with players wanting to stay. LSU has always had great talent and some of that you expect to leave like Guice and Fournette type guys. Something feels off with the program.

we're definitely losing 8, might be 9, from an offense that wasnt very good to begin with

If they weren’t very good to begin with, who cares?

from the OL, Malone is obviously gone, Clapp and Weathersby declared early and Brumfield might do the same

The RBs on the roster now arent even close to the skill level of Guice, and maybe not even Williams.

but it'll be a Landry/Beckham situation; it wont matter if no one can get them the ball enough.

Landry and Beckham got the ball just fine

the young OL actually played relatively well last year but Canadas system did a lot to hide that

How did he hide what? That they played well?

You don’t know wtf you’re talking about.. half of your post is speculation, the other half is regurgitated garbage that’s posted here 24/7... stop talking out of your arse

and theyre number 2 and 3 in NFL history after 3 seasons.

because theyre brilliant WRs.

the fact that OBJ is outside the top 20 only proves my point that he wasnt used properly, we should have had the greatest offense CFB has ever seen.

once again, some people here not only accept underachieving, they celebrate it.

You cant quit being a Cheeri-O long enough to admit this is the weakest backfield in 15 years. Your opinion is duly noted as completely invalid.
