I think Breaux will be a big contributer as a true freshman.

Based on what?

I think Reliford, McKinley, and Breaux are gonna be a hell of a DL in a couple of years.

I think they’re gonna have a really tough time keeping Reliford off the field.

Ruston baw right? Kyle Williams as coach?

Yep. KW has been the DC for a few years now and their defense has been elite. Breaux has been hitting some bad wolf bbq when back home looks like.

He was a bad man at Ruston. Will play some this year.

I was in Jr High in ‘03, so Chad is a giant in my mind. Like 6’4” 350. I just realized he’s 6’1” 290. Honestly his play is more impressive to me now.

Just that adding weight is sometimes necessary but not always good, especially when it happens quickly. It changes who you are as a player

Breaux played almost exclusively on the inside his senior year at Ruston. Kyle was preparing him for LSU while at the same time doing what was best for Ruston's defense.

Playing DT at 260 lbs in the SEC is a recipe for disaster. Bo Davis and the strength staff will get him to the optimal weight to maximize him as an interior DL.

I’m with you here. I think he’s the gem of the freshmen class.

I’m not all that old, but damn kids showing up to college all tatted up? lol this doesn’t look like the tattoo your buddy did after buying a tattoo gun online lol.

Meaning this was done by a pro on I’m guessing an 16-17 age kid. I guess his parents went with him when he said I want a full sleeve?

Adding weight is really good at some point. Same can be said with losing weight. Kids in high school eat junk food, in college they get strength and conditioning programs. They get nutrition, too many things for the transformation. Coaches check to see if they have the frame for added weight.

I distinctly remember playing the "urban" schools in sports in 8th grade in the 90s and some of the kids had tattoos

Sometimes they lose top speed with weight gain, but they never lose that initial quick move and instincts. People are born with that

Sure they do. Anything to do with movement changes with weight.

He can still have a good burst for his size. But it won’t be the same burst

LSU and every university has been moving DEs to DTs over the years. Moving Breaux inside isn't anything new. It will be interesting to see which freshman has the most snaps this season. I've seen the Ashton Stamps of the world shoot down rankings theories time after time.

Chad signed with LSU in 1998 and 1999 under DiNardo, then again in 2000 under saban.

Nate Livings also signed with LSU 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Both went on to have some very good seasons at LSU!
