The new rant myth that is stated as fact.

The shifts help reveal coverages. They can be helpful and the motion was effective.

Did I say anything about anybody butting in? Nobody knows when orgeron butted in. I’m strictly talking about the offenses performance in the bama game.

The stats don't back that claim - at all. Canada was better than what we had in years past, but he was only an average OC.

It's hard to really say because other than Guice, we had nothing special on offense to start the year. Chark was the leading returning receiver and he only had 20+ catches last year...the next best WR (Gage) had 5 catches in his career. We had a backup from Purdue coming off of arm surgery at QB. We had 3 freshman OL due to injuries and Guice was banged up most of the year. He really had very little to work with. He did seriously max out on D. Williams though and used him perfectly. It was a mixed bag, but it's not like he had a ton of firepower.

I believe, 3 yrs from now, most will look back on this and realize that LSU probably let the wrong coach go in this instance.

Then most are very slow to catch on.

Is that why D Williams had the longest LSU run in a decade against Bama on a fake jet sweep to Gage?

This isn't neccessarily directed at you. It's for the people who think they have a full grasp of retardation. Your thread just got me thinking of all the other theories out there. Trying to bring everyone together so we can get to the bottom of it.

Canada did what he could with a less than ept cadre of offensive skill players. Etling was limited; much of the offensive line was green; receivers consistently dropped the ball, yet the Canada led offense still finished in the front half of 2017 statistics nationally.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Pro-O people are also the Anti-Canada people?

The Pro-O propaganda machine has erased all tape and/or edited it so that those plays are lost to history.

I feel like with the caliber players we have at LSU, our OC should be able to beat teams like Troy with the second string in. The talent gap is so wide its not even funny.

you mean the Troy team that went 11-2

This year’s LSU offense was 54th in the nation in total offense, which is slightly better than last year’s ranking of 59th but less than the previous three years under Cam Cameron when its average ranking was 51st. As you can see, none of those numbers are very impressive for a program of LSU’s stature. In fact, one would have to go all the way back to 2006, the second season under offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher, to find an LSU team that ranked in the top-20 in total offense.

We can’t get elite QBs, because our offense pretty much always sucks, and we have never had great QB play.

O firing Canada now, meaning Brennan and Narcisse have to learn another new offense, does not make me hopeful that anything will improve going forward.

It’s insane how long we’ve had to watch bad QB play.

Would that include erasing or editing all of the many red zone touchdown the offense produced?
