Just enjoyed watching the Peach Bowl gorefest again. Joe is a cold-blooded killer. Damn I'm gonna miss this guy.

LSU could have probably scored 90-100 in that game if they wanted to.

I mean it was an absolute assault.

Honestly it may be my favorite game of the season because it was like surgical precision dominance. Definitely an underrated game because of being sandwiched between the SEC title and the NC game. OU truly looked like they didn’t belong on the field and similar to if we were playing a non power five opponent.

On his show the week before this game Skip Bayless gave 4 reasons why he thought Oklahoma would win. The 4th one was "because Oklahoma has CeeDee Lamb"

In response to this, Shannon Sharpe said,
"Yeah, but LSU has 3 CeeDee Lambs!"

was there to watch this in person. We picked a good one to go see. I give credit to the two OU fans sitting in our section they lasted till the 3rd qtr. then they left

Half our section of LSU fans moved to go sit closer to the field on the OU side at halftime.

The first half stats looked like a complete game. I sat in the stands trying to accept this was really happening. It was like a dream with each score. I ever leave a game early, but called it off at the half, deciding to beat the crowd and the rain. Watched the second half in the Hyatt lobby bar with a group of Clemson fans. They were still pretty confident when it was over :-)
I have been to many games since the late 50’s, but this one may be most memorable.

Every D we played tried to show us things we never saw before. Oklahoma? Nope, not one change. Joe said he couldn’t believe it. They gave up before they even hit the field.

For the life of me, I don’t see how that’s not a program-breaking loss for Oklahoma. They still have 4 and 5 star recruits signing up to play for a team that looked like it didn’t belong on the same field with the SEC champion.

LSU could have easily scored 80 points in that game if they really wanted it. Against the Big XII champion. And national recruits are still like “gotta check out Oklahoma.” Amazing.

I watched this game in Phoenix surrounded by Clemson and Ohio State fans. When Oklahoma scored, they both erupted. When LSU scored, you could hear a pin drop.

They were petrified.

Joe said in the pre game locker room "we wanted to hang 70 on them". Everybody mocks OU's defense, and while I think Clemson's deserves the same disdain, I think both teams' offensive stats are just as bogus, based on the poor quality of competition in both leagues.
