They would be crazy not to come back. Especially Charles. He has missed 1/2 the season due to suspension so that throws a red flag to the NFL. Plus his play has not been exemplary. Cush has been good but I doubt that he would go in the first 2 rounds. Having a great SR year could vault him into the top 45-60 picks which would make him millions more in his first contract.

Agree. May come down to how we finish the year?

Eh I don’t think it’s as bad as it sounds.

While it would be huge if Charles and Cush come back, it’s not the end of the world if they don’t. I assume Hines will play center, and while he hasn’t started at center he did play a lot - 286 snaps - at guard last year.

Ed Ingram, who started 12 games as a true freshman back in 2017, will presumably be our RG.

Hopefully Rosenthal can step up in his third year. The big question mark is LG, but Magee is gone regardless. Really sucks that Kardell got injured - he missed a lot of valuable practice reps this year.

Is it possible Kardell might be be able to get some playoff practice reps or even a little PT in a game and still RS?

Yes. He play in four games, any four, and still RS. It is my understanding he is participating in practice now.

I mean is it though? Your backups have serious playing time

Ed Ingram will be a great guard
Kardell will be back from injury
Chosen Hines has played big time football, he’ll be in his 3rd year
Deculus returns
Rosenthal has gotten great experience this year.

I agreed though, it’d be enormous if Cush and Charles came back.

Unless whatever it is he is being suspended for he thinks he can’t stop doing.

Centers are tough to grade out. They don’t usually get drafted high and there isn’t a lot of turnover at the position. Once a team finds a good one they lock them down on long contracts.

Is chasen Hines gonna end up being redshirted this season? I know he's played some this year but had he eclipsed four games yet?

If he fails one more he’s done. Might be better to play half a season than not at all. Red flags would be flying high

What makes you think Deculus is co.ing back?

I think Deculus is as big a threat to leave as is Charles. He has had a very good season, and has elite power. I usually argue FOR the players leaving because I often think they cannot improve their stock with another season, but I think Charles could use another year. Cush might as well go; he won’t improve his position by returning unless he gets a lot stronger. If Deculus could improve his lateral quickness he could benefit from another season.

Why would they go? Outside of Lewis, nobody else is really talked about as a draft prospect.

with Cush it would come down to how much physically stronger can he get between now and his senior year. That would seem to be the only thing that would be holding him back from getting drafted higher as he sometimes just get physically overpowered.

Deculas would probably project pretty high as a guard right now and can swing out to RT in a pinch. The NFL likes versatility like that.

Why wouldn't both of them not return for their senior seasons?
