Look what our woke, Leftist education system has done for our country

China and Japan passed us years ago and its only going to get worse from here.

Our public education system is not only the most expensive, but also least effective. It's a joke.

Why don’t those Asian countries care that the tests are racist?

There are endless videos like this on YouTube that show you plainly that this generation is as dumb as a box of rocks.

The precipitous decline began long before the Woke/DEI crap of the past eight or ten years took hold. US academic scores started falling almost as soon as the Dept of Education became a cabinet level agency in 1980. That, and the teachers unions, have led to education being seen as an opportunity for long-term employment with no fear of dismissal once tenure has been attained.

Even in that grand decade of the 1980s there was a very noticeable undercurrent that gave one the feeling that there was more interest in simply presenting the text than in teaching and ensuring that students understood the concepts. Teachers taught formulas rather than an understanding of the logic applied. Memorization is NEVER a substitute for understanding.

You are misreading it. Our averages are bad, but a subset of our students are exceptional.

Your point that our education philosophy is better is true at the secondary level but the free thinking/ critical thinking approach has been eroded significantly in recent years.

The bigger factor is this: We now have a two-tiered education system in that our public education is mostly abysmal (due to teachers unions protecting poor performance, but also as you mentioned the high % of underclass) but tohe wealthy have excellent education -- either by moving to specific districts or paying for private education. It's worse here in Louisiana but generally true nationally. .

Thus, our averages are bad, but a subset of our students are exceptional and they go on to lead innovation and other great things due to our capitalist economy.

Add to it that those with means going private school have better chances at higher scores. We are just dragged down by averages from inner Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, LA, ect. Where many can’t even pass literacy norms.

We still produce plenty of high achieving math students out of the 360m pop to sustain our needs.


Also doesn’t help that we are bringing in more sub 100 IQ populations across the border each year.

This is a bit over-stated. There are some urban districts that are completely worthless, yes, especially in the south, but that's more the issue with the underclass that I mentioned. Schools are made by the students/families of students.

I went to public school and did better in LSU Honors 1st year than almost all of the private school kids and even most of the LSMSA kids. That same path is available at the same public school for kids of my quality. Is there more of an underclass population at the school now that drags down the average/scores? Yes. Does that affect the good students? No.
