The ACC and Big 12 would take us immediately.

This is partly Kiffins exit created by a shitty NCAA rule.
Kiffin wanting to coach on LSUs nickel in the playoffs BUT LSU provided the offensive staff to Ole Piss. Nothing said
And most importantly the university president flipping off the SEC AND NCAA with bringing back Will Wade.
They are all pissed about everything LSU. So it doesn’t matter. frickem.

And, "worst case" we are independent, get to pick who we play, and keep all the money. Shucks.

LSU to the ACC could work.

Big 10? Ha…fat chance. They look for solid academic schools that are AAU members. LSU is one of the worse academic institutions between the SEC and ACC. Have you seen the HBCU incoming classes.

It's not about the years. It's about players going into the NFL draft, not making a team and wanting to come back to college and play football.

Uh, actually it IS about years also. 5 for 5 means you can play 5 seasons but only have 5 years to do it. Ssssssooooo, right now dozens of players are violating the 5 seasons limit. And if you say "oh, well those players were grandfathered in" then I would say back to you, then why aren't the class of 2022 who have NOT violated the 5 year limit allowed to play another year because you people were too stupid to let those eligible for the draft know it was coming.

Agree a little on that, BUT it would really, really depend on what grounds the SEC might TRY that. If they were to do it for the reasons they have stated, they would be sued by LSU and would still be paying penalties/judicial contempt penalties until the next century. Because they would have violated US law by doing it. Once again, for some strange reason, some people think the SEC has better lawyers than the NCAA, better protection on issues than the NCAA, etc. They do NOT! They are just as vulnerable to US laws and court rulings as the NCAA.

The big 12 and Acc would 100 percent be in BR within hours with competing deals.

This is true. But those deals wouldn’t come close to the $75M we get from the SEC. LSU needs the SEC just like every other school in the conference. Yes, even Texas who walked away from their own network and the biggest piece of the Big 12 pie to join the SEC.

Nothing will happen but in 20 years, conferences may be a thing of the past. Or, there will be 4, maybe 5 super conferences and all else will play in a “different league”.

I’m confused by your tactics.
Nobody will take LSU due to PR nightmare or this will pass over and everyone forgets it by next news cycle? Which is it?

Actually it is about the years. A 6-7thyear player has an advantage over a 4 year player who went to NFL camp and got cut so what the hell is this all about? It's about LSU and Kiffen. Period. They are pissed Kiffen left OM. They are pissed Kiffen got $40 mil to spend on his team. They are pissed kiffen got Sam Leavit. And they are pissed the OM players chose LSU. I hope the players win Thursday and I hope the courts MAKE the SEC abide by the ruling and penalize ANYONE who tries retribution on LSU for following said ruling.

First of all, nobody is going anywhere. All this posturing from both sides is embarrassing. If you want to play out that scenario though, no conference would touch us at the moment because everything in today's world is PR. And no conference is going to take the PR shite storm that would come with it. But like EVERYTHING in this 24 hour news/sports cycle, this will pass and be a distant memory in no time - no matter what the ruling is.
There is no bad press.

LSU is a founding member of the conference from 1933.

The brand brings the SEC more $$$ than they care to admit.

Nobody’s going anywhere.

Which of these players were drafted by the NFL?

I’ll wait. Be specific. Tell us all which rounds each went in.

The other thing that would come in to bite Commissar Sankey in the posterior is that the Speaker of the House and House Majority Leader are LSU Alumni...you think Sankey or anyone else in college sports could get anything politically done by screwing over LSU!

If the SEC member schools voted to expel LSU, it would be the worst decision in the history of college football.
